As a Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, my approach is both clinically grounded and faith based, if requested —guided by the belief that true healing touches mind, body, and spirit.

I'm Deborah Mondlak, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker based in Hollywood, Florida, specializing in trauma, grief, and life transitions.

My work is grounded in the belief that healing doesn't have to take years. I use Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART), an evidence-based approach that helps people process painful memories and difficult experiences rapidly — often within a few sessions — without requiring you to talk through every detail. I also draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic approaches depending on what each person needs.

I work with adults navigating loss, major life changes, and the aftermath of traumatic experiences. I am also fluent in Spanish and welcome Spanish-speaking clients.

I received my Master of Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University and have trained extensively in trauma-focused modalities.

As a PMHNP, my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to take an active role in your mental health. I approach care with curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to collaborative decision-making. No two clients are the same, so my treatment plans are individualized and shaped by your experiences, values, and goals.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Florida International University. I obtained a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University and completed both a master’s and doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Albizu University. I gained predoctoral internship training at University of Central Florida and a postdoctoral fellowship at Jackson Health System in affiliation with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

I believe in creating a non-judgmental and empathic environment where my clients feel safe and free to examine their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

I have over 15 years years of experience working with children, adults, and older adults. I help people with suicidal thoughts, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, bipolar disorder, addiction, PTSD and more. I also have experience with advanced treatments such as TMS, ECT, and Spravato.

Most importantly, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard, respected, and empowered as we work together toward feeling better.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, with over 8 years of experience providing counseling services to a variety of individuals, in various settings within the community. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Florida International University and a Master of Science in Psychology from Carlos Albizu University.

I specialize in a variety of psychiatric conditions and treatments including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, addiction, genetic testing, personality disorders, PTSD, OCD, and insomnia.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colorado State University and obtained my medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University Nevada. I completed residency in Tamarac, Florida. I am currently board-certified on the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
