Healing from loss looks different for everyone. Across Maryland, Headway's network of 1,415 licensed providers offers grief therapy, support groups, and counseling for bereavement, unresolved grief, and anticipatory loss. Sessions blend compassionate care with evidence-based approaches, available virtually or in-person to fit your life.
Most people who find me already know where they’re stuck. They’re introspective and self-aware. They’ve read the books, tried the apps, maybe seen a therapist before but nothing has felt solid or lasting yet. They’re ready to dig deeper and address the roots of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or relationship pain. I use EMDR, IFS parts work, mindful movement, and other somatic tools reach the nervous system where talk alone can’t—and prevent re-traumatizing story-telling.
I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with extensive experience providing mental health care across inpatient, outpatient, community mental health, ACT teams, and substance use treatment settings. Since beginning my mental health career, I have been dedicated to supporting individuals through complex emotional and psychiatric challenges with compassion, respect, and a trauma-informed approach.
I specialize in treating adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma-related concerns, ADHD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, emotional regulation difficulties, and substance use concerns. I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those navigating life transitions, chronic mental health challenges, and recovery journeys.
My approach is collaborative and individualized. I believe effective treatment begins with understanding each person’s story, strengths, and goals. I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive therapeutic techniques to help clients gain insight, build resilience, and improve overall well-being.
My goal is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported as they work toward healing and meaningful change.
Throughout my graduate and professional experiences, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds on issues including anxiety, self-esteem and identity, stress management, and life transitions. As a mother, I also have a passion for supporting expecting and new mothers as they prepare for and adjust to expanding their families. I prioritize developing a supportive, collaborative relationship with each client, helping them feel heard, understood, and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience across multiple levels of psychiatric care, including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric treatment, partial hospitalization programs, and emergency department psychiatric consultations. This diverse background allows me to work effectively with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, from everyday challenges to more complex psychiatric conditions. I am committed to providing culturally sensitive, patient-centered care and building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, respect, and open communication.
I believe there is no one "right" way for therapy and healing, so I offer multiple pathways—talking, movement, art-making, and body-based practices, like EMDR and somatic therapies. Working together we will find what works for you.
I’m a licensed therapist with a background in both social work and public health, and I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. My experience spans private practice, nonprofit work, and community-based settings, where I’ve supported individuals from diverse backgrounds. I’m especially passionate about helping clients process difficult experiences and build meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
My approach is rooted in compassion, cultural awareness, and understanding each person’s unique story. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow at your own pace.
