I grew up in Georgia and attended Georgia State University for both my bachelor's degree in psychology and my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Georgia State University. I completed my MA in Dance/Movement Therapy & Counseling from Columbia College Chicago, after teaching dance, working with at-risk youth and performing professionally in England and the Republic of Ireland for several years. I have a passion for music, poetry and gardening, cooking, languages and travel. I am in awe of how richly culture enlivens our energetic dances.

I maintain a private psychotherapy practice, provide clinical supervision, and serve as an educator and public speaker. I am an active member of the American Dance Therapy Association Southern Chapter, and the Atlanta dance community.

I am an author, professor as well as the founder of Hidden to Healing, LLC providing individual, couples and family counseling to those that are struggling with trauma, anxiety, overall life satisfaction, depression, aggression, grief, substance abuse, and behavioral and emotional issues.

I am Jesmond Fair, born and raised in rural Alabama and later became an alumnus of The University of Alabama. I completed all my graduate training at UGA and am calling Atlanta home. I am a gay Black Christian cis-gender male. For most moments of the day, I have a random song on repeat in my head. This can be attributed to my background in vocal and instrumental music. I believe in being real. So, clients can expect facial reactions, slang, occasional profanity, laughter, and even tears.

I've been a Licensed Professional Counselor for 12 years and have a private office for those who live near my office. After spending 12 years working in the legal field, having 3 children, and ensuring my son with special needs had the support he needed to reach his potential, which he did beautifully, I decided to follow my (other) passion.
