I believe therapy works best when you feel understood, respected, and never judged. My approach is collaborative and practical, helping you develop skills that you can use outside of our sessions rather than simply talking through problems week after week. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based approach that helps people respond differently to difficult thoughts and emotions while taking meaningful action toward the life they want to build.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, or overwhelming stress, my goal is to create a space where you can be honest about what you're experiencing and feel supported as we work toward lasting change. I strive to balance compassion with directness, offering both validation and practical strategies to help you move forward in a way that aligns with your values.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to start therapy. On the outside, life may look “fine,” but internally you might feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or pulled in different directions. Part of you wants change, another part feels exhausted, protective, hurt, or unsure where to begin. Therapy can help make sense of those inner conflicts instead of fighting against them.
I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who believes healing happens through real human connection. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable with me quickly because I show up authentically, without judgment. I create a space where you can be fully honest, feel understood, and finally exhale.
Hi! I’m Kristen, a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Solution Focused Therapy. I hold a Masters of Social Work degree and I have almost 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
Ashleigh provides thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults, with an emphasis on careful assessment, conservative treatment planning, and collaboration. She is especially experienced in supporting complex presentations, including trauma-related concerns and service-connected mental health needs.
I am able to evaluate and make diagnoses, and/or support existing diagnoses and work with you for a 'best-fit' solution to your needs. So many come from a past of being told they are 'X, Y, Z" and often misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed.
My goal is to help find a good treatment start point that resonates with you and provide evidence-based treatment to support your needs, goals, and desires to bring relief and remission, joy and hope.
All options on the table including progressive medication management, psychotherapy and counseling, or referrals for other modalities including deepTMS.
