Clients who seek counseling may feel overwhelmed, stressed out, frustrated and anxious. My warm, compassionate demeanor coupled with a straightforward approach creates a supportive environment in which clients learn skills and receive guidance to become more engaged in their lives.
I also understand that the workplace can be rewarding, but also challenging, impacting a person’s happiness. Client’s leave therapy with coping strategies, helpful problem-solving abilities, and hope for the future.
Whether working with adolescents, adults, or couples, as a licensed clinical psychologist, I aim to provide a warm, non-judgmental environment in which my patients can examine the challenges that have emerged in their lives and explore barriers to meaningful change. My couples work draws from Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy models.
I am beyond grateful to be able to provide a safe space for my client's to process stress, learn new things, and have their most vulnerable moments. So much of the time we try to ignore or push away our problems, but part of my job is to remind you that its okay not to be okay and sometimes life just sucks. I love helping teens and young adults with all of the transitions that come with growing up, the good and the bad. I also have experience with and enjoy working with individuals with Autism.
