I believe that each person is the expert of their own life. At times, however, navigating challenges, life transitions, relationships, or emotional struggles can feel overwhelming, and having a supportive, objective person to talk to can make a meaningful difference.
My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, I am committed to helping you build insight, resilience, and confidence while working toward your personal goals.
Are you feeling stuck or overwhelmed and do not know where to turn next? I strive to make the therapy space as comfortable as possible-- a space free of judgment, where you feel heard.
I have provided counseling in a correctional facility, an outpatient psychiatric setting, and to elementary and middle school students in a school setting.
I received my Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University and I also have a Masters in Education from The College of New Jersey.
Feeling overwhelmed? Believe you aren't good enough? Dealing with grief/loss? Struggling to adjust to life challenges (health problems, career, college, infertility)? Experiencing relationship difficulties? Want to learn how to effectively communicate with others? I'm eager to hear your story. I'll encourage you to express your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. From there, we will work together to identify problematic beliefs and behaviors impacting different aspects of your life with the goal of gaining a new perspective and using your strengths to create a healthy lifestyle.
My clinical training was in adult psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center. I earned a Masters degree in Social Work from Florida International University and a PhD in Social Welfare from the City University of New York Graduate Center.
I specialize in working with adults who feel excluded in one way or another either at work, in their family, community, or society at large--immigrants, people of color, those with disabilities, LGBTQ+, etc. Even if you don't identify yourself in these ways, being treated as if you don't belong can impact parts of your life and I want to provide you support.
I generally assist adults with depression, anxiety, health problems, relationship issues, grief/loss, work stress, school issues, infertility, and parenting. My approach is warm, interactive and non-judgmental. I believe in collaborating with my clients to tailor a treatment plan to fit their unique needs. Depending on your goals in therapy, I generally incorporate a strength-based approach using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing techniques and/or psychodynamic approaches to help increase self-awareness, engage in problem solving skills and teach positive coping strategies.

I follow the concept that therapy can heal emotional pain, improve relationships and increase self-understanding. Beginning therapy can often be intimidating, but can make a big difference in your ability to cope with challenges or make sense of what has happened so you can gather the skills to move forward. I am open to addressing unresolved or present barriers in your life, guide and help you make sense out of your own thoughts ideas and conflicts (situational).

Finding the right therapist in Mount Holly starts with getting clear on what kind of support you're looking for. Therapists and counselors provide talk therapy for concerns like anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can diagnose conditions and prescribe medication. If you're unsure which type of provider is right for you, reading their bio can help you understand their approach and areas of focus before you reach out.
With many providers practicing in and around Burlington County, narrowing your options can take time. Consider what matters most — whether that's a provider who specializes in a specific concern, someone who offers virtual sessions, or a therapist located close to your neighborhood. A free phone consultation can also help you decide if a provider is the right match before you commit to a session.
