With over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of life’s challenges, I know how difficult the decision to seek help can often be. I have helped clients with issues from day-to-day stressors to the complexities of serious mental illness and addiction. I work with clients 13+ with a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, and compulsive behavior, among others.
I specialize in working with Christians who desire to integrate their faith into their treatment. This brings the best in evidence-based practice in line with the essential role of faith in their lives.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is queer and autistic/ADHD. I love the arts and spirituality, and enjoy working with kids and young adults the most. The populations I specialize working with include individuals identifying as non-manogomous, neurodivergent, trans/queer, and most other alt/weird/unique/geeky/nerdy folx. Mindfulness is an important aspect of therapy for my practice, as is creating a therapeutic environment that feels safe for marginalized groups.
What is your approach to therapy?
I believe that therapy is most effective when it is a collaborative partnership tailored to your unique story. My style is warm, holistic, and integrative. Because I am trained in both Clinical Social Work and Christian Theology (Masters of Divinity), I view health through a wide lens—considering not just your thoughts and behaviors, but also your values, your community, and the physical way your body carries stress.
My goal is to help you move from a place of "just getting by" to a place where you feel grounded, resilient, and authentically yourself.
Welcome! I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with over 9 years of clinical experience. Both my graduate degree (Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling) and my professional background are rooted in working with families. While I prioritized working with at risk children and adolescents, my clinical focus shifted to working with adults 18+ who struggle with anxiety, panic, and symptoms of OCD. Additionally, I have a special interest in working with mother's in any stage of parenting as well as those who are seeking to heal childhood wounds, relational trauma, and break free from shame, perfectionism, inner critic and self-doubt. Embarking on your counseling journey can be intimidating and I believe you are taking a courageous step towards health and healing.
