I started my career in New York City then moved my practice to the sunny state of Florida. My experience over the past 15 years is working with adults navigating everything from everyday stress to deeper emotional wounds. Life gets complicated sometimes, but you don't have to do it alone! Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people through their most vulnerable moments—and watching them rediscover their strength, gain clarity and build confidence.
I’m Lauren Butler, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker who is passionate about helping people feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally supported in their lives. My work is rooted in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can be honest about what they’re going through and feel truly heard.
I have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, empowering, and practical—not intimidating. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, break unhelpful patterns, and build healthier ways of coping so they can move forward with more clarity and confidence.
My clients seek to understand and accept themselves and their life experiences. Together we will explore how your past is impacting your present, so you can ultimately move toward a better future.
I work with individuals, couples and families from an attachment and systems perspective, knowing we experience many wounds through relationships but through the right relationships we can also experience healing.
It is important in my work that I allow the client's cultural context inform my treatment.
I'm a retired veteran, have been working as a social worker/therapist since 2004, and have been in private practice since 2017. I have extensive and successful experience helping people with trauma/PTSD, relationships, boundaries, emotions, domestic violence, sexual trauma, substance abuse, grief, parenting, and more.
My professional experience is with young adults who struggle with life changes/transitions. Also, young adults who struggle with coping and stress. Individuals who are looking for a safe space to be heard and supported without judgement.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 16 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. I earned my Master’s Degree in Psychology–Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University and have worked across multiple levels of care, including serving as Clinical Director of a psychiatric treatment facility.
I currently work with adults and couples ages 18–80 who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and patterns that can leave people feeling stuck. My goal is to help clients understand what’s getting in the way of the life they want and support them in building the skills and confidence needed to move forward.
