Hi, my name is Sally Wilkinson, and I am an LCSW in the state of Illinois. One thing I would like my clients to know about me is that I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without pressure or judgement. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and practical. In our work together we will explore what is going on in your life while also building tools to help you cope, grow, and move forward. I value honesty, collaboration, and meeting you at your pace. My goal is to help you feel understood while also empowering you to make meaningful changes in your life.
Hi there, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in the field. My experiences have come from child welfare, community mental health and healthcare and afford me the opportunity to support so many individuals and families along the way. Most recently I have focused on perinatal mental health and supporting families through the continuum of pregnancy and postpartum transitions.
I was born and raised in Montana and have a genuine passion for nature and the outdoors. I received my Bachelors in Psychology at Montana State University in 2001. I then pursued my Masters of Social Work degree and graduated in 2008 from the University of Montana. This graduate program had a focus on providing a social justice and integrated practitioner perspective. I have an eclectic style that can be tailored to each unique individual. My primary therapeutic methods include Mindfulness Based, Holistic, Exposure, Narrative, Cognitive and Behavioral, Strengths Based & Solution Focused Therapies. I provide a non-judgmental and compassionate environment that often helps people feel comfortable. A true passion of mine is structuring therapeutic activities for clients to express, process, increase self-awareness, and de-stress from life’s challenging and developmental experiences.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in adults coping with various mental health disorders including Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Dementia, and Schizophrenia. . I serve clients who are coping with symptoms related to various diagnoses that are often exacerbated by life transitions (i.e., aging, divorce, empty nest, retirement, family dynamics, and health challenges). Many of my clients have found themselves unexpectedly in the role of a caregiver to loved ones coping with chronic health conditions. This adjustment can be both emotionally draining and overwhelming. My goal is to help the individual navigate through these challenges through reflection, learning coping strategies and building or strengthening support networks that will assist in coping with life’s challenges.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who attained my Master's in clinical counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have approximately 15 years of experience providing compassionate and effecting counseling services in an array of settings including both community and hospital based.
I take pride in having the opportunity to serve a diverse population which has included children, adults, couples, and families across a broad spectrum of needs. Some of the unique needs have included supporting individuals who are seeking to gain a better approach to their life while going through difficulties with self-identity, relationship challenges, trauma, substance use issues, or navigating challenging life transitions.
College and early adulthood can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time. I work with college students and young adults who are navigating academic pressure, shifting friendships, family expectations, dating, and big life decisions. You might look like you’re managing it all, but inside you feel anxious, unsure of yourself, or constantly comparing where you are to everyone else. Whether you’re struggling with burnout, identity questions, or just trying to figure out your next step, therapy can be a place to slow down and actually breathe.
Mental health has been an important part of my journey from the very beginning. I graduated from the University of St. Francis while working in inpatient behavioral health, where I learned how meaningful it is to meet people with kindness, patience, and understanding during difficult moments. I spent time working in medical-surgical settings to broaden my experience, but I was drawn back to mental health because it’s where I feel most connected to my work.
I provide care through telehealth and aim to make virtual visits feel as comfortable and easy as possible. I know it can take time to feel at ease talking through a screen, and I focus on creating a space that feels supportive, relaxed, and judgment-free. I take a collaborative approach, listening closely and working with you to find treatment options that fit your needs and your life.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, mood disorders, and related concerns. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and supported as we work together toward feeling better and more balanced in your day-to-day life.
With a nursing career spanning since 2008, I have dedicated over 15 years to understanding the complexities of patient care. After earning my Master’s Degree in 2021, I transitioned into advanced psychiatric practice in 2022. Having served in both fast-paced inpatient units and collaborative outpatient clinics, I offer a well-rounded perspective on mental health. My background allows me to blend clinical expertise with a deeply rooted compassion for the human experience.
