Hi! I’m Jackie. I want to start by saying thanks for being here. I feel deeply honored to have the privilege to serve others as a clinical social worker. Being with people as they share their experiences, thoughts, and feelings is a role I cherish immensely.
I started my career in the mental health field in 2019. I served my community in Southern Indiana as clinical therapist at a community mental health center working with adults, adolescents, and children as they navigated relationships, stress, life changes, difficult and traumatic experiences, feelings of depression and anxiety, along with other presenting problems. I also held roles in non-profit work as a clinical supervisor and treatment director, supervising other therapists as they served clients in the community.
I am trained in and draw from evidence-based interventions including Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Seeking Safety, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, and Attachment-Based Family Therapy. I also pull from training in Nurturing Parenting, Trust-Based Relational Intervention, Risking Connection, and Celebrating Families.
Hello, I'm glad you're here! I have been a practicing Social Worker for 15 years in a variety of clinical settings. I chose to become a licensed clinician to better serve the mental health needs that are present in our daily lives. Whether you are looking for big changes or managing daily life stressors; I look forward to assisting with whatever your current needs are!
As a mental health professional, Dr. Journey has a career working alongside predominantly people of color and people of faith who are looking for a healing space that is integrative and engaging. He has a Ph.D., in the areas of American religion, psychology, and culture which challenges him to care in a holistic manner for each person that he accompanies in the clinical space. Working with Dr. Journey means that you are invited to be your truest and most honest version of your self-in-progress!
My clients seek to understand and accept themselves and their life experiences. Together we will explore how your past is impacting your present, so you can ultimately move toward a better future.
I work with individuals, couples and families from an attachment and systems perspective, knowing we experience many wounds through relationships but through the right relationships we can also experience healing.
It is important in my work that I allow the client's cultural context inform my treatment.
Life can feel overwhelming—even when, from the outside, everything appears okay. Many of my clients are capable, thoughtful adults who are carrying more stress, worry, pressure, or emotional exhaustion than others realize.
You may find yourself overthinking, feeling stuck in anxiety, questioning yourself, struggling with intrusive thoughts, carrying the weight of past experiences, or feeling pressure to always hold it together.
My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and not judged. Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping you make meaningful changes while moving at a pace that feels manageable.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years in leadership and Human Resources, which gives me a unique understanding of workplace stress, high expectations, difficult environments, and the pressure many adults experience.
I integrate evidence-based approaches including EMDR, CBT, I-CBT, ACT, and neuroscience-informed therapy to help clients better understand patterns, process difficult experiences, and create lasting change.
Together, we focus on helping you feel calmer, more confident, and more like yourself again
I’m a therapist who believes real change happens when you feel both understood and challenged. I won’t just sit back and nod—I’ll help you make sense of what’s going on, and we’ll actively work toward shifting it.
My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I create a space where you can be honest without feeling judged, while also helping you notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I draw from approaches like emotionally focused therapy (EFT), parts work, and skills-based strategies when helpful, but I tailor everything to you rather than forcing you into a one-size-fits-all model.
I work with adults and couples navigating things like relationship stress, trauma, anxiety, identity questions, and major life transitions. With couples, I focus on helping you understand the deeper emotional dynamics underneath conflict—not just the surface arguments—so you can rebuild trust, connection, and a sense of security.
If you’re looking for therapy that goes beyond just talking and moves toward real, lasting change, we’ll likely be a good fit.
With over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating grief and loss, life transitions, chronic illness, trauma (including first responders), aging-related concerns, and members of the agricultural and farming communities.
I provide telehealth services across multiple states, I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.

For the past 13 years I have supported clients with mood disorders and trauma. I specialize in working with both teens and adults and people who have not felt successful in therapy in the past. My approach is very person-centered and I am very relaxed and adaptive in my treatment with clients. Clients who have previously felt that therapy was too formal might enjoy working with me.
