Hi there, I’m Elizabeth, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than five years of experience supporting adults 18 and older. I went into psychiatry because I saw how deeply mental health and overall health are connected, and I knew I wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I’m honored to walk alongside my clients as they move toward healing, growth, and greater wellness.
Hi! I’m Amanda and I’m a Black, queer licensed clinical social worker who specializes in creating healing spaces for Black and Brown communities. As a Doctor in Nursing Practice, I have been in healthcare for over ten years, which has prepared me to manage my patients with evidence-based treatment modalities. I bring compassion and commitment to my practice of caring for the holistic needs of my patients, which entails a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of the patient’s psychological, emotional, and physical well-being, also creating a plan of care that will optimize a favorable outcome in a realistic, goal-oriented length of time, with the patient’s buy-in.
I am objective as it applies to one’s life.
Further, I am non judgemental. I help one to find their way to healing and wholeness.
I am trained as a Professional Counselor. During my academic training, in addition to my degree, I am EMDR trained. After my academic training, I started working at MeadowWood Behavioral hospital, an acute psychiatric unit. I worked with adolescents, substance abuse, and adult clients. I have worked with the Kent county health department implementing substance abuse prevention programs in middle and high schools. I believe in the old proverb "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". Since 2016 I have been working with the Community Behavioral health providing services in an outpatient setting.

Parkville is a smaller local market, so nearby in-person appointments may be limited at certain times. Virtual therapy can expand your options across Maryland while still letting you choose a therapist licensed to work with you. As you narrow your search, consider appointment availability, whether the therapist is accepting new clients, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading therapist bios can also help you understand how they structure sessions, describe their communication style, and support concerns like anxiety, relationship stress, or family conflict.
Therapy in Parkville can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to lower your session costs and understand what you may pay before you book. Headway helps you find therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, shows estimated out-of-pocket costs after your coverage is checked, and lets you book directly when you find a match.
