At Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of Southern New Jersey, we specialize in psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults, and we've spent decades doing this work at every level — from a child struggling to focus in school, to complex cases involving severe autism, suicidal behavior, substance use, and everything in between. We don't cherry-pick the easy cases. We show up for the hard ones.
What makes us different: We're not content to offer what every other practice offers. We are constantly evolving — because psychiatry is evolving — and we believe our patients deserve access to the most advanced, effective tools available anywhere.

Do you feel like your brain is constantly running on overdrive? Maybe you’re navigating the frustrating cycle of procrastination, intense anxiety about falling behind, and the sudden rage or emotional outbursts that follow. You might feel misunderstood, labeled "lazy" or "difficult," when in reality, you are holding it together with incredible effort. If you are tired of the anxiety-depression loop, you are in the right place. I help adolescents and adults move from feeling overwhelmed and reactive to empowered and focused.

I’m Esther —a licensed therapist with over 10 years of clinical experience. I specialize in supporting teenagers and young adults as they navigate major life transitions, especially the shift from student to professional. My background includes extensive work in school-based and community mental health settings, where I’ve helped clients manage stress, anxiety, depression, and low motivation. I’m particularly passionate about helping people develop practical tools for mindfulness, organization, productivity, and self-care to improve their overall life.
Hi, I'm Amanda, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of RIVE Counseling. I support women who are feeling emotionally overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but privately struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, relationship stress, or feeling disconnected from themselves. My goal is to create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and start making sense of what you've been carrying.
I am here to walk with you on your journey, offering guidance that respects your individuality. If you're ready to take the next step toward a more fulfilling life, I invite you to reach out and let's start working together toward the future you envision. I have over fifteen years of experience in the mental health field. I graduated from Lehman College with Summa cum laude honors. I obtained my Master's degree from New York University and my Doctorate in Social Work from Rutgers University.
Thank you for taking the time to take a look at my profile!
I’ve been working in the mental health field in New Jersey since 2007, when I began my career toward becoming a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I soon settled into the role of clinical therapist, being recognized as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board of Certified Counselors, with a tendency to most frequently work with those coping with anxiety, depression, and relationship problems.
In 2020, I left the community clinic I had been working with to form a private practice. Here, I can meet with and focus on my clients, providing each with the attention they deserve. One of the primary purposes of coming to therapy is to be heard. I am here to listen.
Not just listen, though! We work together to come up with a solution to the problem or issue you are working through. As we discuss what has and hasn’t worked for you in the past, we learn to tell the difference between a healthy, productive way to cope and a less-than-desirable way to deal with your problem.
Therapy should be uniquely tailored to each person. I work with clients to identify patterns of behavior that may have contributed to difficulties in relationships—with family, friends, or at work or school—and help find ways to create positive change. We learn to change our perspective on life, our past, our entire reality, and recognize that we really can control how we think and what we think about.
