Latosha Jackson is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 16 years in mental health care. She has worked in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, and substance use rehab. That breadth means she has met patients at every stage of recovery and is hard to surprise.
She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Chamberlain College of Nursing. She also holds dual master's degrees, one in Executive Nursing and one in Psychiatric Mental Health. That training shapes how she thinks about diagnosis and care today.
I am here to help you build self-esteem, heal from trauma, and strengthen your intuition. My approach combines evidence-based therapies with intuitive practices to support deep, lasting transformation. If you're struggling with self-doubt, past wounds, or a sense of disconnection from yourself, therapy can be a powerful place to begin again—with compassion, clarity, and confidence.
I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. My work is grounded in attachment-based and humanistic approaches, meaning I focus on understanding your relationships, emotional experiences, and inner strengths. I believe healing happens through genuine connection and collaboration, not through labels and judgement. Together we work at your pace to build insight, resilience, and lasting change.

Headway makes it easier to find support for overcoming addiction — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right addiction therapist in Laredo starts with understanding the type of care that fits your situation. Licensed professional counselors (LPCs) and licensed chemical dependency counselors (LCDCs) both work with people navigating substance use and behavioral addictions, though their training differs. Some providers hold both licenses, which can be helpful if you're managing a substance use disorder alongside anxiety, depression, or another mental health condition. Reading a provider's bio can help you understand their background and approach before you commit.
Laredo's location along the South Texas border means the community faces distinct challenges related to substance use, and finding a provider who understands the local context matters. Many therapists in the area offer bilingual sessions in English and Spanish. Whether you prefer to meet in person in the Laredo area or connect virtually, look for a provider whose availability, specialties, and communication style match what you need.
Addiction counseling in Laredo can be expensive without insurance, but using your in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay per session. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs upfront, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find an addiction therapist who is both the right clinical fit and covered by your plan.
