I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Nevada. I graduated with my Master of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling in 2009 and hold three degrees in the field of counseling/psychology. I am within several classes of achieving a second Master's degree in the field of substance abuse treatment. I have additional formal and practical training in the areas of trauma informed care, impulse control/anger management, crisis intervention, and cognitive behavioral modification strategies. I have worked with a wide variety of populations including co-occurring disorders (substance and mental health), at risk youth, and various other adult high risk/high need populations in both intensive inpatient and outpatient settings. Throughout my years of experience, I have worked at length with the majority of DSM V diagnosed disorders.

I’ve been in the behavioral health arena for over 40 years and have held numerous direct care and clinical leadership roles in a variety of settings. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Texas Arlington, and Master of Science in Nursing immediately after. Board certified by ANCC and have 19 years of Nursing experience.

As a bilingual, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with Indigenous roots and lived immigrant experience, I founded Cristal Psykare to close the gap in accessible, affordable mental health care.
