I know that reaching out for help can feel daunting, and I truly admire your courage in taking this step toward better mental wellness. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who cares deeply about mental health, I'm here to offer you a warm, safe, and supportive space where you can comfortably share your experiences and challenges.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with almost 20 years of experience working with children and families. I believe in the importance of prioritizing self care and our mental health needs are so important for that! My goal is to partner with you and navigate through the journey towards reaching your goals.
I’m Thomas Moore, LPCC, a licensed professional clinical counselor providing therapy for individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, identity development, and complex relational patterns. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in repeating cycles such as overthinking, people pleasing, emotional shutdown, intense reactions, or difficulty maintaining stable relationships even when they logically understand what they should do. My goal is to help you translate insight into real change.
My approach is structured and compassionate. I integrate evidence based methods including cognitive restructuring, emotional regulation training, interpersonal effectiveness skills, and trauma informed therapy. Sessions focus on understanding why your brain reacts the way it does and building practical tools you can actually use outside the therapy room. This is not only about talking through problems but learning how to respond differently when they show up in real life.
I work well with clients who want more than passive support and are ready to build skills, increase self awareness, and interrupt patterns that no longer serve them.
What clients should know before starting
Therapy with me is collaborative and active and you will learn strategies rather than only venting. We will work on understanding both the emotional and neurological side of your reactions. Sessions focus on present day functioning while also addressing past experiences that still affect you. I may gently challenge patterns when it supports growth while maintaining a supportive and respectful space. Progress often comes from small repeated changes rather than sudden breakthroughs.
If you are looking for therapy that combines validation with practical change, we will likely work well together.

I provide trauma-informed person-centered therapy. Additionally the modalities I like to work with are EMDR, IFS, existential, the use of mindfulness & somatic therapy. Whatever your therapeutic goal is, let's work together to determine what will be most helpful to you.
I will listen to your story and provide a space for you to process heavy emotions, trauma, grief, and other challenges that may come up. I understand that traditional talk therapy can feel scary, intimidating, and/or unknown if you haven't experienced it which is why I offer other options. Reach out and let's discuss your goals and what works best for you!
I believe meaningful change happens when people feel understood, supported, and empowered. My approach is collaborative and client-centered—I meet you where you are and tailor our work to your goals, values, and lived experience. Rather than a one-size-fits-all method, I focus on what will be most helpful and sustainable for you.
My style is warm, grounded, and practical. Clients often describe me as thoughtful, easy to talk to, and direct in a compassionate way. I create a space where you can be honest without judgment, ask questions, and explore challenges at your own pace. I balance insight and reflection with actionable strategies you can apply in real life.
One of my strengths is helping clients gain clarity when things feel overwhelming or stuck. I’m skilled at identifying patterns, simplifying complex issues, and turning insight into forward movement. Whether we’re working on growth, healing, decision-making, or skill-building, my goal is to help you feel more confident, capable, and aligned with yourself.
If you’re looking for a professional who is engaged, respectful, and genuinely invested in your progress, I’d be glad to work with you.
Many clients share that therapy with me feels comfortable, safe, encouraging, and even fun. We’ll move step by step, combining reflection, insight, and practical tools. Along the way, you will uncover new perspectives and recognize your own resilience. My hope is that each session leaves you feeling seen, supported, and more empowered than when you arrived.
This wild, painful, beautiful human experience can be a lot to process on our own, and it can be empowering to sort it out with a compassionate mental health professional who can be a support throughout your emotional growth. I am committed to showing up with empathy and gentle curiosity in collaboration with my clients. I am licensed in and seeing clients in Colorado and Rhode Island.
I have a passion for working with visual artists, writers, poets, musicians, and designers. I am an artist who believes that creative expression can be a way to engage the healing process and help us make meaning in this tumultuous world. I love working with artists and creatives, but you do not need to identify as an artist or creative to collaborate in therapy with me. We all hold the potential for creative healing engagement with ourselves, in relationships, and in the world. I welcome the opportunity to work with clients of all backgrounds and identities.
I received my MA in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, my MFA in Visual Art from Rutgers University, and my BFA in Visual Studies from Iowa State University. As an artist, writer, former academic, and mental health counselor, I have dedicated my life to creating connection and depth in relationships.
I am licensed in Colorado as a professional counselor. I have 10+ years of experience working with children and families, with careers ranging from nannying, Montessori art teacher, to family and couples therapist. 5 of these years include my professional work experience as a psychotherapist, family therapist, and art therapist.
