Hello, my name is Jasmine and I'm a licensed mental health counselor. Working on your mental health is a ongoing journey, and having patience with yourself is key to success. Moving through obstacles and facing them head on can teach us how to process our emotions and validate our experiences. My background is with young adults who struggle with self-esteem, relationship issues, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders.
“I’m Kimberly Covington, a trauma-informed therapist and coach with over 13 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, and life transitions.
Because at the end of the day—peace over pressure.”
I am a kind, open-minded person who genuinely values listening and understanding others. I believe that some of the most meaningful connections begin with simply feeling heard. I have an extensive background and passion for psychology, and I am endlessly fascinated by the brain, the mind, and how deeply connected they are to our emotions, behaviors, and overall well-being.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my cats, and traveling whenever I get the opportunity. I naturally enjoy helping others navigate life’s challenges, whether that involves problem-solving, relationships, emotional struggles, or finding new perspectives during difficult times. Helping people better understand themselves and move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives is something that brings me genuine purpose.
I also hold a special passion for supporting our military, veterans, and first responders. Being married to one has given me a deeper appreciation and understanding of the sacrifices made by these individuals and their families. I believe the men and women who have served and protected our country are among our nation’s greatest assets, and I feel deeply committed to helping support their mental health, resilience, and quality of life as they continue carrying burdens many others may never fully understand.
I'm always here to listen, even if you want to talk about how it’s difficult to share and if there's anything I can do to help. I have treated OCD, substance abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders.
Taking the step to seek mental health support can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to do it alone.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, and complex mental health needs.
I have experience working across high-acuity hospital settings, partial hospitalization programs, and community-based care, which allows me to support individuals through both everyday challenges and more complex clinical situations. My goal is to create a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and respected.
By applying a supportive, compassionate, and caring approach clients have the ability to use multiple tools to enhance and maintain their quality of life. As your counselor, my goal is to engage you in co-creating an active treatment plan that is directly related to your identified concerns, issues, and needs. I will guide you through the multiple layers of life's maze that include situations and experiences, feelings and emotions, thoughts, choices, and decision-making. Together we will make progress and strive forward towards your desired outcome.
Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, or the effects of addiction can make it difficult to feel like yourself. You may be exhausted from carrying emotional pain, struggling with relationships, navigating major life changes, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. If you're trying to manage intense emotions, heal from past experiences, or regain a sense of stability and control, therapy can provide a supportive space where you feel understood without judgment and empowered to move forward.
