I work primarily with adult men who may appear successful and capable on the outside, but inwardly feel stuck, confused, disconnected, or overwhelmed. Many of my clients are high-functioning professionals or retired men who’ve spent years focused on careers and responsibilities, but now find themselves asking deeper questions about who they are, why they feel the way they do, and how to live more authentically. Some are navigating major life transitions—divorce, retirement, grief, or aging. Others are simply tired of feeling emotionally numb, misunderstood, or unsure of how to change long-standing patterns.

I specialize in working with men who are ready to take an honest look at themselves—not because something is “broken,” but because something inside is asking for more. More clarity. More peace. I completed my MA in Dance/Movement Therapy & Counseling from Columbia College Chicago, after teaching dance, working with at-risk youth and performing professionally in England and the Republic of Ireland for several years. I have a passion for music, poetry and gardening, cooking, languages and travel. I am in awe of how richly culture enlivens our energetic dances.

I maintain a private psychotherapy practice, provide clinical supervision, and serve as an educator and public speaker. I am an active member of the American Dance Therapy Association Southern Chapter, and the Atlanta dance community.

Yosheika is a passionate therapist with roots in Athens, GA. A proud Piedmont College Psychology graduate since 2010, she has dedicated her career to social services and behavioral health. In 2019 things came full circle when she graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master's in Social work. With diverse experience in community mental health, K-12 and secondary education, Dept of Family & Children Services, and substance use recovery, she's here to help you navigate life's challenges.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Human Services, I completed Certified Peer Specialist training during the semester break from my Master's program. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. My practicum and career thus far has been in a residential program setting that means I've worked with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) ranging from mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma, OCD, and thought disorders.
