EMPATHIC CARE that adapts to your FEELINGS...Built around your needs and lived experience. Using evidence-based medicine and clinical judgment. If you don't see a time that works for you on my schedule, please send me a message and I'll do my best to accommodate your availability.
I have been working with individuals, couples and families for many years. I am thought of as empathic, warm and engaging. I consider therapy to be a partnership. It is designed to work towards "your" goals, and it is my goal, to help you achieve them. I have worked with people having many different "struggles" or "transitions" in their lives. I am experienced in all areas from trauma, childhood and adult abuse, DV, anxiety, depression, sexuality, family or other relationships, along with substance use disorders/struggles. I also understand the specific challenges that come with parenting, and the issues we encounter coping with the varied neeeds of aging parents. I use many different modalities in our work. I believe that we all can benefit from having a therapist to work with, and I look forward to meeting you. While I currently reside in the Hudson Valley, I am from NYC, and do also understand the specific stressors of city life.
As a therapist, with over 7 years of experience in social work, the rapport I build with my clients instills a comfortability and confidence that my approach and systems work. I meet clients where they are and allow them to reach their own resolve, with guidance. I help clients transition less from extreme perspectives towards more positive mindsets when internalizing experiences. At Behavioral Health Counseling our therapists provide evidenced-based, goal-oriented treatment to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Treatment and Behavior Plans are individualized to meet each patient’s need.
Our human experience can carry trauma, and I bring both clinical training and real-world experience in trauma informed care from health care and higher education. I support people in moving toward health-based emotional and mental well-being. My work integrates clinical knowledge with embodied, brain-based approaches to healing. Light-hearted and warm, I deeply value each person's unique story and inner world. I work primarily with adults, navigating phobias, anxiety, chronic nervous system dysregulation, relational repair, challenging life transitions, and persistent survival patterns. I continually expand my knowledge through innovative and evidence-based tools.
I believe therapy is a safe place in which we can be heard, supported, and understood. Together, we will work to uncover your strengths and find new ways to approach life's challenges.
With over 20 years of experience in clinical care, education, and research, I provide thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatry support tailored to high performing adults seeking clarity, stability, and wellness. My goal is to provide you both empathic and evidence-based support that leads to sustaining improvement.

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals and families across diverse clinical settings. My career began in group homes working with adolescents and adults living with chronic mental illness, followed by work with the Department of Children and Families, Visiting Nurse Association and Crisis Intervention through the hospital Emergency Department where I developed strong skills in assessment, stabilization, and systems navigation.
For the past 10 years, I have specialized in Integrated Behavioral Health within a primary care setting, collaborating closely with medical providers to deliver whole-person, accessible mental health care.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Marist College and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University. I utilize a range of evidence-based and client-centered treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), insight-oriented therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. My work is grounded in helping clients build insight, develop coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change.
