Life begins when you know who you are. But the path to self-knowledge can be fraught and hard to find. “Be yourself,” “create yourself,” “find yourself”–these are some of the injunctions that might waylay any earnest seeker. When we learn to sit with the uncomfortable parts of self–the parts that make us want to crawl out of our skin–revelation can occur.
Talk therapy can be a place to learn how to be interested in ourselves and in our past. When we learn to love ourselves the way we wish to be loved, our relationships can flourish. We can deepen our genuine interest in others. When it works, psychotherapy can inspire incredible capacity and resolve to bend towards the future and embrace change
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in individual and couples therapy. I have over twenty years of experience working with a wide variety of clinical problems. I am most interested in working with individuals who are curious about themselves and who believe that they may find some relief from their struggles by examining their thoughts and feelings in the context of their relational history.
I believe that we all carry the weight of our experiences, which shape how we move through the world. It is my genuine intention to understand my client's unique perspectives and welcome them to bring all parts of themselves into our work together. With connection, compassion and curiosity, I offer a welcoming space where I center you as the expert of your own experience.
I partner with my clients to attend to difficult areas in life, while reflecting on their resilience. By centering your experiences and truths, I bring warmth and openness to our relationship. It is my hope that my clients achieve a better understanding of themselves and move towards fulfillment and healing.
I have specialized training and expertise in working through experiences of anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues and life transitions.
Truly accepting, non-judgmental and passionate about what I do.
As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, I am a firm believer in the importance of taking care of your mental health. I have worked with individuals, families, and groups of all ages, supporting clients through concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, identity exploration, and life transitions.
Hi there and welcome!
My priority is supporting clients on their journeys towards personal healing & growth.
In 2010, I received my MSW/LMSW. While doing outpatient clinical work at the NYC non-profit agency JBFCS, I became an LCSW. In 2016, I began to establish my private psychotherapy practice, focusing on young and professional adults presenting with a broad variety of life challenges.
These challenging times can strain our abilities to cope. You may find you are more fatigued or more irritable; many are feeling the stress in important relationships. It has been an especially difficult time for children and teens, and their parents. It's a good time to get some support. I believe that healing starts with self compassion. I can help you to cultivate a compassionate curiosity that honors your strengths and explores the areas where you would like to change and grow.
I’m a licensed psychologist with training and clinical experience across inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, and private practice settings. I completed my PsyD at Hofstra University and have worked in hospital-based systems, as well as community and school-based settings.
I work with adults and adolescents facing a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related difficulties, personality-related patterns, psychosis-spectrum conditions, and life transitions. I also have experience supporting individuals navigating identity development, relationship challenges, and long-standing patterns of emotional distress that feel difficult to change.
Across settings, I have found that people often come to therapy not just because of symptoms, but because they want to feel more understood, more grounded, and more connected to themselves and others.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in Scarsdale starts with identifying what kind of support you need. Common reasons residents seek therapy include anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and support for children or teens. Scarsdale and the surrounding Westchester County area have providers trained in a range of approaches — from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to family therapy and couples counseling. Knowing whether you want in-person sessions locally or prefer the flexibility of virtual appointments can also help narrow your search.
When comparing providers, look beyond credentials. A therapist's specialty, communication style, and approach all play a role in whether the relationship feels like a good fit. Reading detailed provider bios and scheduling a phone consultation before your first session can help you feel more confident in your choice.
Therapy in the Scarsdale area can be expensive without insurance. Using your in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce your out-of-pocket costs, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit with coverage. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before you book. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a provider who fits both your clinical needs and your budget.
