Welcome to Advanced Psychiatric Solution, a premier mental health practice specializing in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and evidence-based medication management for adults, teens, and children. My path into healthcare began over 20 years ago, a journey built on the belief that true healing happens best when you feel genuinely heard and your mind and body are treated as one, rather than a collection of isolated symptoms. I hold dual board certifications, having graduated from the University of Pittsburgh as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Herzing University as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Additionally, my background includes years of specialized clinical training as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner. This medical expertise gives me a profound, holistic understanding of how chronic illnesses, cancer treatments, and physical diagnoses intersect with psychiatric symptoms. Whether navigating the emotional trauma, anxiety, and depression that accompanies an oncology journey, or addressing everyday mental health hurdles, I bring clinical authority and deep empathy to safely to your care.

I grew up in rural PA working on my grandfather's potato farm, learning equine therapy benefits starting at age eight. I joined the food industry as a waitress and worked throughout my RN undergrad.
I began my nursing career after earning my BSN from IUP in 2015, stepping directly into the fast‐paced world of behavioral health care within emergency room settings. Those early years shaped my clinical foundation and deepened my commitment to supporting individuals who have experienced trauma. I continued to grow, learning medicine, therapeutic communications skills, de-escalation techniques while working inpatient contracts at various facilities across PA, including child and adolescent units, adult and geriatric units, and correctional facility contracts.
Driven to expand efficient care through impact, I completed my MSN as a Psychiatric‐Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in November 2024. I initially provided inpatient hospital care, gaining valuable experiences in a new psychiatric treatment facility. As my career and family needs evolved, I discovered that remote psychiatric care offered the balance and flexibility that best supported both my professional goals and home life balance. My passion for farms, animals, and my large blended and busy family will help my clients see why I enjoy offering them a decade of behavioral health experience. With my advanced PMHNP training, I will deliver compassionate, accessible mental health support in a comfortable virtual setting.
I’m a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in ADHD, mood disorders, and complex or unclear diagnoses. My approach is collaborative but direct - I focus on getting the diagnosis right and creating a treatment plan that truly fits your life.
I have experience across outpatient and residential settings, and I often work with patients who are looking for more clarity or haven’t found answers elsewhere.
My goal is to help you better understand your symptoms, feel more in control, and move forward with confidence.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding psychiatrists in Canonsburg starts with knowing which type of mental health care fits your needs. Psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication; therapists provide talk therapy. Medication management often includes reviewing symptoms, current prescriptions, side effects, and care goals over time. If you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or related concerns, look for a psychiatrist whose listed specialties and clinical background match what you want to address.
In a smaller community like Canonsburg, local psychiatry options may be more limited than in Pittsburgh, Wexford, or other nearby areas. Virtual appointments can expand your choices while still letting you search for someone licensed in Pennsylvania. Some psychiatric care visits, especially medication management appointments, are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions. Some psychiatrists also offer therapy, and some people work with both a therapist and a prescriber. As you compare profiles, review availability, whether the psychiatrist is accepting new patients, appointment format, and bio details that explain their communication style and approach.
Psychiatric care in Canonsburg can be a significant expense without insurance, and using in-network coverage is one of the most reliable ways to lower out-of-pocket costs. Headway helps you find psychiatrists and psychiatric prescribers who are accepting new patients, and you can enter your insurance details on Headway to confirm which coverage options are available for your plan and location. You can enter your insurance details to see estimated costs before booking, compare bios, and choose virtual or in-person options when available — making it easier to find care that fits your needs, schedule, and plan.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
