You’re used to holding it all together—but stress, anxiety, or emotional exhaustion may be catching up. I help high-functioning women navigate burnout, regain balance, and feel like themselves again. I provide collaborative psychiatric care including diagnostic clarification, medication management, and support to stabilize symptoms of burnout, anxiety, depression, and stress-related concerns.
I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner for over 5 years, and I am also a board certified adult nurse practitioner for over 12 years. I began my nursing career graduating from university of MD with my bachelors, and then attended Johns Hopkins University for my masters. I decided to further my education by attending Brandman University to obtain my Doctorate and psychiatric mental health certification in 2018.

Finding the right psychiatrist in Newport News starts with understanding what kind of care you need. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication. Psychiatric nurse practitioners (PMHNPs) can also evaluate, diagnose, and manage medication. If you're looking for help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, or PTSD, a psychiatric provider may be the right fit. Some providers on Headway also offer talk therapy alongside medication management.
Newport News and the broader Hampton Roads area — including neighborhoods like Denbigh, Oyster Point, and City Center — have a range of psychiatric providers, but confirming insurance coverage and availability can be time-consuming. On Headway, every provider listed is accepting new patients, and you can see whether they offer in-person or virtual sessions before you book.
Psychiatric care in Newport News can be costly without insurance. Using your in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay per session. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated costs before booking, and your out-of-pocket expense may be as low as $0 per session, though costs vary based on your location and exact insurance coverage.
