Hello, my name is Neha, and I’m glad you’re here. Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to offer a space that feels supportive, thoughtful, and grounded. I’m a psychotherapist with over a decade of experience with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and a current doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology. My work is informed by ongoing learning and experience across hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation programs, and private practice. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and life transitions using an integrative, evidence-based approach.
I am the Founder of EQ Therapy (eqtherapy.co), a private practice designed for high-performing clients. I also teach at NYU in their graduate mental health counseling program. By deciding to find a therapist, you have already taken the hardest step. Whether this is your first time in therapy or picking up right where you left off, finding the right fit will allow you to reap the benefits of a strong therapeutic connection. Change isn’t linear, therefore healing can look and feel different each day. I look forward to guiding you on this journey with respect, kindness, and compassion.
As an licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), my therapeutic framework is rooted in using a systemic approach with my clients. What this means is that I believe we understand ourselves within the context of our foundational relationships with others. I work with individuals, couples and/or families from this framework to help them to build healthier relationships within themselves as well as with others.
As a clinician, I enjoy working with everyone in all phases of life helping in building self-esteem, managing addiction, trauma, self-discovery, medication management, anger management, re-establishing one's dreams/purpose, building/strengthening relationships one has with self, partners or family systems.
I have worked with foster children, young adults, primary care staff and patients, those who struggled with substance abuse in a methadone clinic, provided supervision to non-licensed social workers in the hospital.
I welcome the opportunity to meet with you for a consultation to see if working together would be a great match like a grilled cheese or peanut butter sandwich.
Best of luck on your journey to health and wellness.
The past few years have been extremely difficult for many people and may have caused or intensified emotional health struggles. It is common to feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or unsure of how to move forward. If you are feeling emotionally drained, struggling with anxiety, depression, panic, or no longer finding enjoyment in life the way you once did, you are not alone. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel difficult, but meaningful growth and healing are possible.
I am a psychotherapist with over 13 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a wide range of emotional and life challenges. My professional focus is helping individuals develop a greater sense of self, balance, and purpose while working through life’s hardships and transitions. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, panic attacks, PTSD, mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, and stress-related concerns. I also work extensively with couples and families addressing communication difficulties, parenting and co-parenting challenges, blended family dynamics, relationship conflict, health concerns, and major life transitions.
With over 15 years of experience in human services, I am a dedicated and compassionate social worker committed to supporting individuals through life’s most challenging moments. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven and my Master of Social Work from Fordham University.
Throughout my career, I have held leadership roles and developed extensive experience in crisis intervention, community engagement, and client advocacy. I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with five years of experience providing psychotherapy. I came to the field a bit later in life after exploring other pursuits as a young person in New York City, and I love this work. I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, struggles with identity, and life transitions. I love helping individuals find meaningful, lasting relationships.
