Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my cats, and traveling whenever I get the opportunity. Helping people better understand themselves and move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives is something that brings me genuine purpose.
I also hold a special passion for supporting our military, veterans, and first responders. Being married to one has given me a deeper appreciation and understanding of the sacrifices made by these individuals and their families. I believe the men and women who have served and protected our country are among our nation’s greatest assets, and I feel deeply committed to helping support their mental health, resilience, and quality of life as they continue carrying burdens many others may never fully understand.

I got my start working in a residential setting, supporting people through serious mental health challenges, trauma, and addiction. That experience shaped how I see therapy, it’s not just clinical, it’s about feeling understood and not alone in what you’re going through. I now work with people dealing with things like trauma, emotional ups and downs, and substance use, and I’m trained in EMDR. While I have experience with more intense situations, I also work with people who feel stuck, reactive, or disconnected and want to understand why.

I am a licensed mental health counselor with a background in education and formal training from the University of Montevallo and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. My work is grounded in trauma‐informed therapy and guided by a holistic approach that honors the whole person. I specialize in working with sexual assault survivors and in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment issues, couples, relationships, and PTSD.
