I’m Kathy and I have been a social worker for 23 years now. I have been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker for the last 16 years of that time. For the majority of my profession, I have been working in the hospital setting, helping patients find solutions to a wide range of needs. I have seen patients struggle in many different ways in life and helping them has also helped me grow as a social worker.

I am passionate about helping people realize they are capable of more than they think. Everyone deserves to see their worth and I would love to work with you to help you see yours.

Jacki Veler, MSN, PMHNP, FNP, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 16 years of nursing experience. She earned her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Spring Arbor University in 2021 and her PMHNP Graduate Certificate from the University of Toledo in 2022. At NewHeart Mental Health and Wellness in Oak Harbor, Ohio, she delivers in person and remote outpatient psychiatry and addiction treatment for adults and children across the entire lifespan. She also provides inpatient psychiatric care at a behavioral health hospital.

I have been in practice for 25 years as a professional counselor. You are the reason why I continue in the work of a therapist. It is your continuing growth and improvement that is my goal in helping you. You are the expert on your particular situation and it is my job to help you in moving from where you are right now, to where you would like to be as quickly as possible.

I am a mother of 3 children with autism. I have completed my undergraduate studies at Kent State, My graduate studies at Capella University where I did residency in Chicago and Atlanta. I have almost 7 years of experience in the field working in collaboration with ODJFS to help children and families. I live on a small hobby farm in Ohio and enjoy the outdoors.

Integrating the identification of mental health disorders and physical disorders such as low testosterone, hormone imbalance, thyroid disorders and vitamin deficiency are key steps to improve overall health. Focused care on the mind and bodies interconnected factors is my passion.

I am a clinical mental health and substance abuse, therapist, with licensures LPCC and LICDC, in the State of Ohio. I obtained my Bachelor's degree from Fisk University and my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. My primary work environments have included private practice/outpatient, school based, as well as residential/crisis inpatient treatment, to provide treatment for mental health [depression, trauma anxiety, anger management, grief and substance use disorders.
