Hello, I'm Stefanie Young, an Army brat, born in Germany and a Gulf War Veteran. I've spent my entire career in and around first response: military, military police, and civilian law enforcement which has truly shaped my approach to therapy by understanding the culture, the pressures that come with it, and what it takes to finally talk to someone.

My practice is a confidential, open space for adults working through trauma, PTSD, anxiety, anger, and depression. If you're a first responder or veteran, you won't need to explain your world to me, I've lived it. And if you're not, you're equally welcome as well.

I am a mother of 3 children with autism. I have completed my undergraduate studies at Kent State, My graduate studies at Capella University where I did residency in Chicago and Atlanta. I have almost 7 years of experience in the field working in collaboration with ODJFS to help children and families. I live on a small hobby farm in Ohio and enjoy the outdoors.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, and substance use - all the messy, complicated parts. Over 17 years, I’ve done everything from case management to clinical supervision at a community mental health agency and crisis intervention at a managed care company. As a biracial person (Filipina and Polish), I bring personal understanding to those navigating cultural identity, family expectations, and the feeling of not quite fitting in anywhere.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides warm, open-minded, and nonjudgmental care across the adult lifespan and for ages 12 and up, with a special focus in geriatric psychiatry. I have experience treating anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, sleep problems/insomnia, bipolar spectrum disorders, and schizophrenia.

I have been in practice for 25 years as a professional counselor. You are the reason why I continue in the work of a therapist.
