With over five years of experience in mental and behavioral health—including four years of providing therapy—I offer a safe, inclusive space for healing and growth. Hi, I'm Sara! I believe that connection is key to feeling less alone in this world. Getting curious about our past experiences and core values can help us to create a life that feels authentic and aligned with who we want to be. I enjoy supporting clients who are navigating life transitions, specifically the perinatal and postpartum periods. Additionally, I have specialized training in substance use disorders and have a heart for working with loved ones of those impacted by addiction to help restore balance, trust, and healing to the family system.

I think it takes guts to be in psychotherapy. Life is hard and beautiful, & it is always possible to feel better and live a fuller life, I work collaboratively with clients to cope with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting, divorce and ADHD. I received my MSW in social work from Boston College and trained on child and family teams in the Boston area.

I have been licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2004 and have held a supervision designation since 2015. I have also held a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a supervision/training designation license since 2018. I have maintained a private counseling practice in Chillicothe since 2000 and I continue to work with individuals and families in that capacity. I have dedicated my career to helping others and to working with the community to ensure the well-being of families and children.

Jacki Veler, MSN, PMHNP, FNP, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 16 years of nursing experience. She earned her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Spring Arbor University in 2021 and her PMHNP Graduate Certificate from the University of Toledo in 2022. At NewHeart Mental Health and Wellness in Oak Harbor, Ohio, she delivers in person and remote outpatient psychiatry and addiction treatment for adults and children across the entire lifespan. She also provides inpatient psychiatric care at a behavioral health hospital.
