My name is Amanda Rowell. I studied at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and became a Licensed Practitioner Counselor in 2015. I also recently became an LPC Supervisor to help other developing counselors on their way to licensure. My background work is mostly with child and adolescent inpatient settings. I have seen adults in inpatient settings as well. I became a Trust Based Relational Intervention Practitioner in December of 2023 and will continue to use TBRI techniques.
I believe therapy should feel like a safe, relaxed space where you are in control. My approach is laid back and client-led, allowing you to dictate the direction of your therapy based on what feels most important to you. I don’t come in with a rigid agenda or a one-size-fits-all plan. Instead, I’m here to listen, support, and gently guide you as you work toward the areas of growth and healing you want to focus on. Together, we’ll move at your pace, building insight, skills, and confidence in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
I’m a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 15 years of experience in nursing, most of that in mental health care. My background includes inpatient psychiatry, outpatient care, and working with individuals across different stages of life, so I’ve seen how mental health challenges can show up in very real, everyday ways.
Over time, I’ve learned that many people don’t always have the words for what they’re experiencing—they just know something feels off. Maybe it’s constant worry, low energy, feeling overwhelmed, or just not feeling like yourself anymore. That’s where I come in.
I focus on helping adults better understand what they’re experiencing and finding practical, effective ways to treat it, including medication when appropriate. My goal is to make mental health care feel clear, approachable, and tailored to you—not confusing or overwhelming.
After four decades of psychiatric nursing, I transitioned to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner because I am passionate about providing mental health counseling to help people live their best lives. My experience encompasses working with a diverse range of patients facing both acute and chronic mental and behavioral health conditions. In my spare time, I enjoy various fiber arts, and spending time outdoors playing in the dirt. I am married to an amazing man who retired after a long career as a psychiatric social worker. Together, we have seven children and nine absolutely incredible grandchildren.
Imagine what life would be like if you had the space to explore the nuances of the struggles you've been battling. Making the decision to seek professional help is probably one that you have been pondering over for awhile. I specialize in working with multicultural individuals, in particular with South Asian/Middle Eastern natives, as well as those affected by chronic illnesses, issues related to parenting, immigration, and spirituality.
I am a clinical social worker committed to helping individuals achieve their goals and live a fulfilling life. I value the therapeutic relationship for the establishment of trust and comfort. My style involves a client-centered, genuine, non-judgemental approach to exploring and establishing goals. I believe you know who you are best, and you have the strength and power to achieve your goals.
I use a trauma informed lens in my practice with training in attachment styles, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
I finished my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Family Consumer Sciences as well as my Master's in Social Work at Minnesota State University, Mankato. I will be accepting new clients beginning April 2026; please feel free to reach out to schedule a consultation!
Greetings!
My name is Twyla Terry-McCarrell, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Dallas, Texas, serving clients across Texas, Oklahoma, and Georgia via telehealth. I hold a master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary and specialize in trauma-informed therapy. I help adults navigate and heal from experiences of abandonment, anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, and CPTSD. My practice is dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your story, reclaim your voice, and move toward lasting recovery.
Maybe you're the one everyone relies on. The helper, the overthinker, the people-pleaser, the perfectionist, or the one who always seems to have it together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, fertility and infertility challenges, postpartum transitions, relationship concerns, and major life changes. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the need to have everything figured out.
I’m a licensed therapist with a background in Marriage and Family Therapy. I work with individuals, couples and families who are navigating depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, or just feeling stuck. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in research—I’m here to help you make sense of what you’re going through and find a path forward. Whether you're facing a tough transition or looking to strengthen your emotional well-being, we’ll work together to create meaningful change.
