Hi, I’m AJ. I’m a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, youth, and families.
You might be feeling anxious, depressed, stuck or overwhelmed. Maybe you're facing something painful—loss, addiction, past trauma—or finding it hard to connect with others. Whatever you're carrying, you don’t have to carry it alone.
I have a virtual private practice since the pandemic started. I graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2017 and have been practicing for 8 years. I have specialized in treated OCD and Grief & Loss in both adults and children.
When I am not at work, I take care of my large plant collection, listen to audiobooks, practice drums and spend time with family and friends.
I work with adults from all backgrounds and experiences. I will help you achieve your goals, reduce symptoms, and develop the life you envision.
Hello! I am an experienced, knowledgeable clinician that provides warmth, humor and safety for my clients. If you are looking for an easy going, kind and caring clinician, I am your person. Looking forward to working with you on your wellness journey.
I help clients move from survival mode into intentional living. Our work strengthens self-trust, clarifies values, and shifts relationship dynamics that no longer serve you. You can expect honest dialogue, practical direction, and space to grow at a steady, sustainable pace.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than two decades of experience in the mental and behavioral health field. Throughout my career in Northern California and Southern Oregon, I have helped individuals and families navigate life’s challenges while fostering meaningful growth and connection, providing compassionate, strengths focused care to individuals and families throughout the region. For the past 12 years I worked as a Mental Health Therapist in school-based health centers, supporting students and families in developing healthier relationships, strengthening emotional resilience, and improving overall well-being. I earned my Master of Social Work in 2015 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2022.
I believe that the healing space happens when someone feels safe, seen, and respected. My approach is warm, direct, and grounded, while also being able to challenge and empower my clients. I bring both clinical and real-world understanding into sessions. So, whether you are feeling stuck, over-whelmed, or just ready for a change, we will move at a pace that not only honors you, but provides you with the tools you will need to continue on your personal healing journey.
I grew up in rural PA working on my grandfather's potato farm, learning equine therapy benefits starting at age eight. I joined the food industry as a waitress and worked throughout my RN undergrad.
I began my nursing career after earning my BSN from IUP in 2015, stepping directly into the fast‐paced world of behavioral health care within emergency room settings. Those early years shaped my clinical foundation and deepened my commitment to supporting individuals who have experienced trauma. I continued to grow, learning medicine, therapeutic communications skills, de-escalation techniques while working inpatient contracts at various facilities across PA, including child and adolescent units, adult and geriatric units, and correctional facility contracts.
Driven to expand efficient care through impact, I completed my MSN as a Psychiatric‐Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in November 2024. I initially provided inpatient hospital care, gaining valuable experiences in a new psychiatric treatment facility. As my career and family needs evolved, I discovered that remote psychiatric care offered the balance and flexibility that best supported both my professional goals and home life balance. My passion for farms, animals, and my large blended and busy family will help my clients see why I enjoy offering them a decade of behavioral health experience. With my advanced PMHNP training, I will deliver compassionate, accessible mental health support in a comfortable virtual setting.
My name is Carolyn Phillips, LCSW.
I have noticed relationships seem to be a very important value to people because we all need love, encouragement and understanding, as well as many other needs. If something gets misconstrued, then it can be a problem for a relationship. I would like to see you through the rough patches.
I specialize in helping my clients feel more connected in family and love relationships. You may be a parent struggling with irritability and boundaries, a married person feeling resentful or overwhelmed by conflict with your partner, or someone feeling burdened by guilt or expectations in extended family relationships. These kinds of struggles can create feelings of isolation and loneliness, or the sense that you've developed a short fuse alternating with feelings of hopelessness. Problems in important relationships can lead to an impaired sense of self-worth, overwhelming guilt and shame, or a hypercritical inner voice.
