Over the years, I've cared for patients across a wide range of settings including inpatient, outpatient, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and more recently as a tele-health Psychiatrist. I've also had the privilege of teaching medical students along the way, which deepened my belief that truly good psychiatric care starts with truly listening.

I chose to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner because I am passionate about helping individuals improve their mental health and overall quality of life. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in behavioral health across diverse clinical settings including inpatient psychiatry, outpatient care, long term care, and telehealth. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, mood disorders, life transitions, burnout, and the emotional challenges that can come with balancing multiple roles and responsibilities.
I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, depression, and ADHD across the lifespan, and I work with adults and seniors navigating a range of mental health challenges — including bipolar disorder, OCD, panic disorders, sleep difficulties, and more. My greatest strength is building genuine, trusting relationships with my patients. I take the time to listen without judgment, understand each person's unique needs, and create individualized treatment plans that help you feel supported and empowered throughout your mental health journey. Outside of work, I recharge by spending time with my family, traveling, and staying active outdoors.
I specialize in mood disorders (including depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety (generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety), and trauma-related conditions including PTSD. I am deeply committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health — and I understand firsthand how shame and silence can stand in the way of healing and daily functioning. Outside of work, I'm a parent who enjoys going to the pool and playing board games with my children, which keeps me grounded in the everyday joys that matter most.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right psychiatrist in Tarpon Springs starts with understanding the kind of care you want. Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and manage medication over time. Therapists provide talk therapy and may work alongside a prescriber. If you are looking for support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or medication management, review each psychiatrist’s listed specialties, clinical background, and approach to care before booking.
Tarpon Springs is a smaller market, so local psychiatry appointments may be more limited than in larger Florida cities. Virtual appointments can expand your options while still letting you choose a psychiatrist licensed in Florida. As you compare psychiatrists, look at appointment availability, whether they are accepting new patients, and how they structure follow-up visits. Medication management appointments are usually shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, and some psychiatrists also offer therapy. Reading bios can help you understand communication style, areas of focus, and whether a free phone consultation is available.
Psychiatric care in Tarpon Springs can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to lower your session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you find psychiatrists who take your plan, are accepting new patients, and offer clear cost estimates before you book, so you can compare options, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
