I’m LaToya T. Newman, MS, LMFT, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with master’s degrees in both Marriage and Family Therapy and Criminal Justice Sciences. My background allows me to look beyond symptoms alone and consider the relational, environmental, and systemic experiences that shape how we see ourselves, connect with others, and respond to life’s challenges.
I work with adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, and emotional overwhelm. I particularly enjoy supporting individuals and couples who are ready to better understand themselves, explore relational patterns, strengthen communication, and heal from experiences that continue to impact how they show up in relationships and daily life.
My work is attachment-based, trauma-informed, and relational. I pay attention not only to what is happening on the surface, but also to the deeper emotional experiences, family dynamics, and life experiences influencing your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I am especially mindful of cultural experiences, family systems, and the impact of past environments on emotional safety and connection.
Clients often describe me as warm, direct, insightful, and easy to talk to. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment while also gently challenging patterns that may no longer be serving you. I believe healing and growth happen when we better understand ourselves, feel emotionally safe, and begin addressing things at the root.
Greeting!
I am a seasoned professional continuing to study and learn the most impactful ways to lessen human suffering and promote self love in all. Beginning my practice decades ago as a combat trauma therapist, I have found myself dealing with the traumas of early life and relationships with most my adolescent and adult clients. I believe counseling can offer many “tools”, to cope, however, I prefer to help people heal so that coping becomes an infrequent need.
I want you to feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I will provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings so that you can move forward towards your life goals.
I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Carolina University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia, and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina.
I have over 20 years of experience serving others in some capacity. I am caring, understanding, and dedicated to help you make positive progress in your personal and professional live. I believe who you are makes a difference and you matter.
I am a licensed professional counselor licensed in Georgia with over 10 years of experience working as a therapist for many different age groups. I served in the U.S. Army for 20 years before retiring. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I have helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Rational-Emotive Counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I also use Mindfulness exercises in my counseling.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I’ve spent years sitting with people at their lowest—through addiction, crisis, and the kind of pain that can make life feel unmanageable. That work taught me something I bring into every session now: nobody is “too much,” and no story is too messy. These days, I’m more focused on slower, steadier work. Whether you’re worn down by depression, gripping through stress, or finally ready to be honest about drinking or using, I’ll meet you where you are with steadiness, honesty, and compassion. You don’t need the right words yet; we’ll figure it out together.
Hi, I’m Elizabeth, a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy is a collaborative process built on trust and the belief that every person has the capacity for growth. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing tools to create meaningful change. I specialize in working with individuals navigating addiction, trauma, anxiety, and other life stressors using a strengths-based approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques tailored to each client’s individual needs.
Thank you for taking a moment to view my profile. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I serve the adult and geriatric population. I am a proud graduate of both the University of Georgia Graduate School and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience supporting people through anxiety, stress, life transitions, and burnout. I help adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, mood changes, family dynamics, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are looking for a safe place to talk things through and feel better.
You can be successful, dependable, and still feel exhausted.
Many of the people I work with are carrying careers, relationships, family responsibilities, caregiving, or the pressure of trying to hold everything together for everyone else. On the outside things may look fine, but internally you're overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, or disconnected from yourself.
I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, and life transitions. Therapy with me is a place to slow down, make sense of what you're carrying, and develop practical tools that help life feel more manageable again.
