Hi, I'm Rachel — and if your child is struggling, you're in exactly the right place.
I know how hard it is to watch your loved one deal with anxiety, sadness, or stress and not know how to help. That's where I come in. I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working with young children — from preschool all the way through preteen — and helping them build the kind of skills that actually make a difference in their everyday lives.
My background is rooted in schools. I've been a school social worker in Norwell, Plymouth, and Sandwich, which means I understand the world your child is living in — the classroom pressures, the social dynamics, the moments that feel too big to handle alone. I bring that real-world context into every session.
I specialize in perinatal care and women's health issues. I am dedicated to helping women face the challenges related to infertility, loss, and the postpartum period. I also specialize in nutrition and how that is closely related to mental health. With my unique holistic approach we can reduce negative though patterns and increase positive relationship internally and externally.
You do not have to have everything figured out before you reach out. You just have to take one
step. I am Sharon, a licensed therapist (LICSW) in Massachusetts specializing in trauma, grief,
and the weight of experiences that do not just go away on their own. I bring a collaborative,
trauma-informed approach built on one core belief: healing happens inside a relationship where
you feel genuinely heard, understood, and safe to go at your own pace. Much of my career has
been spent supporting Veterans and others navigating life's hardest terrain, and I would be
honored to walk alongside you on yours.
My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and trauma-informed. I believe that healing occurs within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. I work with each person to identify their strengths, build resilience, and develop practical strategies to achieve their goals.
I welcome adults from diverse backgrounds and life experiences and strive to provide an inclusive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their concerns and move toward greater well-being.
Whether you are seeking support for past trauma, coping with grief, managing stress, or navigating a difficult life transition, I would be honored to work alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth.
With over 15 years of nursing experience, my passion for psychiatry began early in my nursing career as I witnessed patients transform their lives through healing, self-discovery, and resilience. It is profoundly humbling meeting someone at their lowest point and having the privilege of walking alongside them as they do the work to become their best selves.
I work with adults ages 18 to 60 from all walks of life, with a special focus on individuals who are often overlooked, misunderstood, or silently struggling. Many of the people I work with appear “put together” on the outside—successful, dependable, and strong—while internally feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or barely holding it together.
I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, to immigrant parents from Haiti, and my cultural background plays an important role in who I am as a provider. Being deeply connected to both Haitian and American cultures has given me a broad perspective and a deep appreciation for cultural identity, family systems, and the shared human experience. At the core, struggle looks very similar across cultures—and everyone deserves care that is respectful, culturally responsive, and compassionate.
In a world where there is endless advice, online "experts" and seemingly easy fixes, it can be challenging to hit a roadblock and find that nothing feels quite right. Whether it is depression, anxiety, or just a general sense that something is “off”, it keeps you stuck. And you just can't figure out how to fix it. While I have no answers, I offer a place to pause, reflect, and talk about what’s been holding you back. And most importantly, what you want to happen next.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts and have been working in clinical social work since 2014. I have experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns and populations. Having spent several years working in the inpatient setting, I have worked with people from every background. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, substance use disorders, anger management, and psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Looking for therapists in Mattapoisett starts with finding someone whose training fits what you want support with. You may be looking for care related to anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, trauma, or life transitions. As you compare therapists, look for listed specialties, therapy styles, and experience that match your needs. Bios can help you understand whether a therapist uses approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or trauma-informed care.
Mattapoisett is a smaller coastal town, so the number of local in-person therapists may be more limited than in larger Massachusetts cities. Virtual therapy can expand your options while still connecting you with a therapist licensed in Massachusetts. Consider practical fit as well, including appointment availability, whether a therapist is accepting new patients, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading therapist profiles before booking can help you compare communication style, session structure, and areas of focus.
Therapy in Mattapoisett can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you search for therapists who match your preferences, verify your insurance, see an estimated session cost, and book directly when you are ready.
