I came to train and serve as a counselor after being helped by counseling in my 40s. Sometimes reaching out for help and making changes in life is scary and overwhelming. Sometimes we need support as we navigate these changes. I love to support my clients as they make life-giving changes.
I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 21 years of experience supporting mental health and wellness across the lifespan. My professional journey has been rooted in behavioral health settings, where I’ve had the privilege of working closely with both children and adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, sleep-related concerns, and substance-use disorders.
I earned my Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and also hold a Master’s degree in Nursing Education from William Carey University. My background allows me to combine clinical expertise with education and advocacy, ensuring that clients feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout their care.
Sometimes life doesn’t feel like something you’re managing—it feels like something you’re reacting to.
Emotions can feel intense or unpredictable. Stress builds quickly. Relationships become harder to navigate. You may find yourself shutting down, lashing out, overthinking, or feeling overwhelmed by things that don’t seem to affect others in the same way.

My work focuses on helping people understand what’s happening beneath their reactions so they can begin to feel more in control of themselves and their relationships.
Many of the people I work with are not “broken”—they’re overwhelmed, under-supported, or carrying emotional patterns that were never given space to be understood or healed.

I'm excited about the opportunity to work with individuals who are on their journey to becoming the best versions of themselves. I understand that this path can present a variety of challenges, such as finding life purpose, navigating men's issues, dealing with trauma (PTSD), experiencing depression, facing career dilemmas, exploring identity concerns, and addressing self-esteem and relationship issues. I am a licensed therapist with a Doctorate in Professional Counseling from Mississippi College and nearly 15 years of experience supporting individuals, families, children, and adolescents in both individual and group therapy settings. Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of sitting with people through some of their most difficult and transformative moments, and I bring empathy, patience, and genuine care to every session.
My clinical experience includes working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and behavioral health concerns across a wide variety of ages, backgrounds, and life circumstances. Two populations are especially close to my heart: children and adolescents experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges, and women healing from trauma. I understand how overwhelming these experiences can feel, and I am deeply committed to helping clients reclaim their strength, find hope, and move toward healing. I believe healing is possible for everyone, and I consider it an honor to be trusted as part of that journey.
