Hi and welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Tennessee, New York, and PSYPact states. I have extensive experience working with a variety of presenting issues, but am passionate about working with individuals on how they show up in relationships, particularly when that feels difficult, confusing, or overwhelming. This might look like noticing unhelpful patterns in your relationships but struggling to change it. Perhaps you have a hard time speaking up or setting boundaries, or become easily irritated with others and later feeling upset with yourself. If this is you, we would likely be a strong fit!
I specialize in working with parents, law enforcement and military professionals, and trans/GNC populations.
I am currently providing virtual sessions only.
Please note I am no longer accepting couples therapy clients.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I work with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, OCD, and life transitions. I utilize play therapy with children, solution-focused techniques, supportive therapy, family systems, and other techniques that match the client I am working with.
I believe that your lived experiences are valid and essential for our work together. I specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image issues, and also treat depression and anxiety. Foundational to my work are the principles of bodily autonomy, Health At Every Size (HAES®), harm reduction, social justice, and compassion.
I work best with driven people experiencing a big change. Perhaps, despite your best efforts, things aren’t working out as you’d hoped. Or perhaps you’ve gotten all you wanted and it doesn’t satisfy. I work often with D1 athletes & pros (as well as their family members). I love supporting the romantic partners of people in the public eye. Though I often work with athletes I am not a Sports Psych. In fact, I don’t even follow sports! I’m here for the rest of your life and identity.
Kayla, a licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in community mental health, recognized the profound disparities in access to mental health care within BIPOC communities. Inspired by a vision of creating a space where healing is both inclusive and affordable, she founded Helen’s Project with the belief that everyone deserves access to quality mental health support, regardless of their background or financial situation.Helen’s Project operates on the principle that culturally competent and empathetic mental health care is essential for holistic well-being. The organization collaborates with a diverse team of mental health professionals who not only possess clinical expertise but also understand the unique cultural nuances and challenges faced by the BIPOC community.
I’m a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in both private practice and community mental health settings. My background allows me to work with a wide range of individuals, from those navigating everyday stress and anxiety to those managing more complex mental health conditions.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degrees from Middle Tennessee State University, Maryville University, and Murray State University. My training across both primary care and psychiatry allows me to take a comprehensive, whole-person approach to care.
I’m Elaina, a bicultural therapist whose own lived experiences shape how I sit with others. Many of my clients carry complex or childhood trauma layered with ADHD, autism, anxiety, or depression. They’re often the deep feelers and deep thinkers—the ones who’ve been told they’re “too much.”
I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship struggles, grief, affairs, identity shifts, and life transitions. I also enjoy working with military families, veterans, LGBTQ+ folks, and people from diverse cultural backgrounds who know that healing doesn’t look the same for everyone. My style is warm and human, with steady empathy and a willingness to challenge when it supports growth.
