Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I love collaborating with clients as they embark on their wellbeing journey. I have spent 25 years in the helping professions. I work with a variety of clients, including those within oppressed communities: LGBTQIA, BIPOC, those struggling with maternal mental health, psychosis, depression/anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, grief, intimate relationships, and I am a poly-friendly therapist. I understand there are many paths to being healthy and whole. I attended UT Austin for undergraduate work in psychology and sociology, and Lamar University for a Master's Degree in Counseling & Development. I find great reward in witnessing a client's growth, healing, and change.
Great to meet you
If you’re struggling with anxiety, overthinking, trauma, or relationship stress, you’re not alone. Many people face these challenges, and support is available to help you feel understood and less isolated.
I work with adults and adolescents who feel overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to break. Many of my clients deal with high anxiety, racing thoughts, people-pleasing, and difficulty setting boundaries. Still, therapy can help you find hope and a way forward, even if it looks like you have everything together on the outside.
If you’re constantly overanalyzing, feeling on edge, or carrying the weight of past experiences, therapy can help you slow things down and regain control, empowering you to manage your thoughts and feelings more effectively.
I
My approach is completely centered on your needs. I will meet you where you are and tailor services to you—an approach known as Person-centered.
This approach aims to have you gain insight and independence. After all, you are the expert of your life and your experience. I see my role as supporting you in achieving your potential by honing in on your strengths and, ultimately, helping you become empowered.

Headway makes it easier to connect with affirming therapists who understand your identity — from finding the right therapist, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right LGBTQIA+-affirming provider in Amarillo starts with understanding what kind of support you're looking for. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, identity exploration, or the effects of minority stress, look for a licensed provider — such as an LPC, LCSW, psychologist, or psychiatrist — who has direct experience working with LGBTQ+ clients. Reading a provider's bio can help you understand their approach, training, and whether they feel like a good match before you reach out.
In a smaller metro area like Amarillo, the number of local affirming providers may feel limited. Virtual sessions can significantly expand your options, connecting you with licensed professionals across Texas who specialize in LGBTQIA+ mental health care. Many providers on Headway offer both in-person and virtual appointments, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and comfort level.
Therapy in Amarillo can be expensive without insurance, but affordable options exist when you use in-network coverage. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs upfront. Many patients pay as low as $0 per visit, making it easier to prioritize consistent, affirming care.
