Hello! I have a Masters of Education in Counseling and Human Development and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2002, with Supervisory status (2020). I am also a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and have been since 1993. I am dedicated to fostering peace, respect, and healing within individuals and families. I am nurturing, patient and non-judgmental to help create a supportive environment where challenges can be addressed. I am a vocal advocate for children, teenagers, and adults. I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, RTC's, with TYC, private practice (all ages for individuals and families) and MHMR (focus on crisis counseling for children and teenagers). Trauma, depression, anxiety, crisis, and grief are some of my speciality areas.
I'm glad you are interested in my profile. Let me introduce myself. I'm a Licensed Counselor, Christian, and US Army Veteran with years of experience working in community mental health, addiction recovery, and PTSD treatment — both with service members and Veterans through the VA, and with civilians carrying similar weight.
I work primarily with adults — especially men, women, couples, and Veterans navigating PTSD, addiction, marriage challenges, life transitions, and the kind of stress that builds up over years of trying to handle everything alone.
I'm also a Christian counselor, and my faith guides every aspect of my life. The majority of my clients over the years are not Christian, and I have worked well with them, and their needs. I am sensitive to the needs of my clients.
My job is to meet you where you are. You'll find me direct, but warm, solution-focused, humorous. I speak plainly, and not in clinical jargon, if I can help it. .

I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely safe, heard, and understood. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can openly process your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences without feeling rushed or criticized. I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, so I approach each client with compassion, curiosity, and respect for their unique story and lived experience.
My style is warm, relational, and conversational while still grounded in evidence-based practices. I work collaboratively with clients to help them better understand emotional patterns, increase self-awareness, strengthen communication, and develop practical tools they can use outside of sessions. I value creating a therapeutic relationship that feels authentic and empowering, where clients can feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, and moving at a pace that feels manageable for them.
I work with individuals navigating stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, emotional overwhelm, and patterns that may leave them feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. Together, we focus on creating meaningful and sustainable change while also making space for reflection, healing, and personal growth.

In my clinical work, I support individuals who are managing stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the lingering effects of trauma.
