Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 27 years of experience helping adults, children, and families transform their lives. Together, we will clear the path toward your mental health goals, breaking down big obstacles into manageable steps. Your courage brought you here, and my expertise is here to support you the rest of the way. Let’s build the future you deserve.
My experience centers on supporting clients of all ages through a wide range of life challenges. Guided by a solution-focused perspective, I believe holistic healing is a foundational part of effective client care. I am trained in EMDR, a therapeutic modality that helps clients process trauma and other difficult life experiences that may interfere with personal growth, relationships, and mental health. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and other concerns that can make it difficult to feel grounded or move forward. I hold a master’s degree from Colorado Christian University and have received training in both play therapy and EMDR. I have also worked with clients experiencing dual diagnoses within the field of substance use disorders, which has deepened my understanding of the connection between emotional pain, coping, and healing.
With nearly 30 years in education and over a decade of experience as a Certified Professional School Counselor (CSC), I bring a strong foundation in supporting children, adolescents, teens and families through a wide range of challenges. In addition to school counseling experience, I hold a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health.
A trauma-informed approach is at the heart of each session. Creating a space where clients feel safe, heard and genuinely supported is a top priority. Whether navigating stress, loss, grief, anxiety, life transitions, or school related concerns, sessions are tailored to need each person's unique needs.

Headway helps you stay on track with expert-guided support for ADHD — from finding the right therapist or psychiatrist, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right ADHD therapist or psychiatrist in Houston starts with knowing what type of care you need. Therapists — including licensed professional counselors (LPCs), licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), and psychologists — can help you build strategies for focus, time management, and emotional regulation through approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can evaluate symptoms, provide a diagnosis, and manage medication alongside therapy. Some people benefit from one or the other; many benefit from both.
Houston is one of the largest and most diverse cities in the country, which means there are many ADHD providers to choose from — but that can also make the search feel overwhelming. Consider what matters most to you: a provider who works with adults versus children, someone who offers virtual appointments, a specific therapeutic approach, or a provider who speaks your language. Reading a provider's bio before booking can help you understand their style and decide if they're a good match.
Therapy in Houston can be expensive without insurance, but affordable options are available when you use in-network coverage. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before your first appointment, and your out-of-pocket expense may be as low as $0 per session. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find an ADHD provider who fits both your clinical needs and your budget.
