I’m an LPC based in San Antonio, Texas. I have a master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in military families and culture. I’m also a Certified DBT Therapist and a member of the ACA.
I’ve worked in mental health since 2018, starting in a psychiatric hospital where I gained broad experience with a wide range of diagnoses and acute care needs.
That foundation, combined with my private practice work, has shaped a grounded, trauma-informed, and practical style to provide you with a therapy experience that is unique to your needs.
I work with adolescents (13 and up) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, chronic illness, and neurodivergence.
As a female-centric mental health therapist with 30 years of experience, and military veteran, it would be my honor to help you navigate your unique journey with your mental health. I am trained in a multitude of Trauma Therapies to include EMDR, Brainspotting and CPT
Hi, I’m Jamie Harrison, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with individuals ages 6 to 99, as well as couples and families, who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward but are ready for something to change.
You might be experiencing anxiety, depression, overthinking, emotional ups and downs, relationship stress, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others. Sometimes it’s not just one issue it’s a combination of life transitions, stress, or patterns that feel difficult to break.
When working with children and adolescents, I focus on helping them build tools to manage anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, anger, impulsive behaviors, and life changes in ways that feel supportive and age-appropriate.
With adults, I support clients in navigating life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, negative thinking patterns, self-esteem struggles, and challenges with connection helping them develop practical skills to feel more grounded and in control.
When working with couples and families, I help improve communication, strengthen connection, and navigate conflict, life changes, and transitions in healthier, more effective ways.
In our work together, my goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I take a compassionate and practical approach, helping you not only process what you’re going through, but also build tools you can use in your everyday life.
I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and therapy with me is collaborative—we move at your pace, focus on what matters most to you, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

I am a Licensed Private Counselor serving clients in Texas. I believe all experiences in our lives whether good or bad can help a person grow by equipping themselves with knowledge and skills to better understand who they are as a person. All information about a person is important and can be used as a steppingstone toward wholeness and healing. I have worked with children, teens, adults, and people with special needs.
I came to counseling after having already completed a successful career and was looking for something different. I completed graduate school in Texas and have since become licensed in both Texas and Colorado. The majority of my work is in general counseling and I also work with couples and families. I have worked for University of Texas schools as well as for the University of Alabama. While working in the UT system schools I helped with veterans issues and transition to civilian life. During Covid I provided counseling for military families and first responders.
