Hi, I’m Mariam Opafunso, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Ohio University and have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and other mood-related concerns, as well as eating-related conditions in adolescents and adults.

Dr. Chika Galega-Sabum, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner currently accepting patients aged 5 and older. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Cincinnati and has a background in psychology. Dr. Galega-Sabum specializes in Medication Management, Psychiatric Evaluations, Psychotherapy, Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, Trauma, Substance Use Disorders, Alcohol Dependency, Grief, Eating Disorders, and Survivors of Sexual, Physical, and Emotional Abuse and more. She takes a holistic, evidence-based approach, addressing both symptoms and underlying causes of mental health and substance use concerns. Committed to personalized, patient-centered care, she works closely with individuals to develop treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and lifestyles. Passionate about mental health and addiction recovery, Dr. Galega-Sabum is dedicated to empowering individuals on their path to wellness and healing.

I’m a licensed therapist with over nine years of experience working in mental health, including inpatient, crisis, and community-based settings. I have a strong background in supporting individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, psychosis, and substance use challenges.

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with 18 years of experience in general health and 7 years of mental health. I diagnose and treat mental disorders with a sense of comfort and trust. My practice combines the best of psychiatric services with focus on the best treatment plan for your general well-being.

After getting my master's in counseling psychology decades ago, there has been a strong focus in helping others process through trauma, depression, anxiety and other mental health symptoms getting in the way of living one's best life, I am a licensed mental health counselor who uses several skills and techniques to help people heal.

In 2023 I completed my doctoral training as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. I earned my board certification in the fall of that same year. I am a licensed mental health counselor and substance use disorder profession in the state of Washington with over 35 years of experience working in various community clinics, treatment centers, hospitals and private practice. I am also a geriatric mental health specialist. I have worked with hundreds of people with a wide variety of concerns, including addiction/recovery, depression and anxiety, PTSD, stress management, LGBTQ-related issues, family systems, codependency, self-esteem, relationships of all types, grief and loss, and issues related to abuse and trauma.
