With 165+ reviews and a 4.96 rating on Zocdoc, I have specialized in advanced medication management for complex, treatment-resistant conditions. I utilize a neurobiological approach that focuses on frontal lobe/executive functioning, nervous system dysregulation, and neurotransmitter systems to diagnose and treat various concerns - ADHD/executive dysfunction, OCD, trauma/C-PTSD, high-masking autism, personality profiles, and cases where standard medication treatments have failed. While I specialize in clinical complexity, I bring that same deep, careful attention to treating anxiety, depression, and clients starting medication for the first time.

Hello,
My name is Keisha and I specialize in treating various issues. I appreciate the opportunity to provide my services to you. I create a safe space for my clients, free of judgement and full of understanding.
I am a Board Certified Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse with 20 years of experience. I treat a variety of mental health disorders such as Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as others. I treat clients from ages 6 years old and aboves.
My path into psychiatry began in surgery, where I originally planned to become a neurosurgeon. During medical school, I participated in a diving expedition and later worked on the Biosphere 2 project — experiences that immersed me in extreme environments and sparked a deep curiosity about how people think, feel, and relate to one another under pressure. That curiosity led me to psychiatry, and since then I have combined rigorous medical training with psychodynamic study to better understand and treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. I provide telehealth psychiatric care to adults, adolescents, and children in Massachusetts and Connecticut, with a special focus on trauma, treatment-resistant conditions, and pediatric psychiatry, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Many of the people I work with have felt unheard or discouraged in previous treatment — and I take that seriously.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding psychiatrists in Brookline starts with knowing what kind of support fits your needs. Psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication, while therapists provide talk therapy. Medication management may include an initial evaluation, follow-up visits, and updates based on your needs over time. People often look for psychiatric care for concerns like anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and OCD. As you compare options, look for a psychiatrist whose listed specialties and experience match the concerns you want to address.
Brookline has local options near areas like Coolidge Corner, Washington Square, and Brookline Village, but availability can vary by schedule and appointment type. Virtual appointments can expand your options if nearby offices have limited openings or if commuting across town makes care harder to fit into your calendar. Psychiatric medication management visits are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, and some psychiatrists also offer therapy. Some people work with both a therapist and a psychiatrist, depending on the kind of support they want. Reading bios can help you compare approach, specialties, appointment format, and whether a psychiatrist offers a free phone consultation before booking.
Psychiatric care in Brookline can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to lower your out-of-pocket costs and understand what you may pay before your first appointment. Headway helps you search for psychiatrists who match your needs, verify your insurance, and see estimated session costs upfront. Every psychiatrist listed is accepting new patients, and you can review bios, compare availability, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
