I am a licensed therapist based in Golden, CO. I offer in person visits at my office in downtown Golden, which is a convenient distance from Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Edgewater, Westminster, and Denver’s Westside. I also offer remote sessions online. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor.

Prior to earning my BS in Psychology followed by a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver in 2010, I graduated from CU Boulder in 1994 where I received my BA in English Literature. I look forward to assisting you with your counseling needs.

Children process emotions through play, adults bypass the analytical mind for authentic expression, and families discover new ways of connecting. My approach is evidence-based and open-minded, providing a judgment-free space to explore your experiences at your own pace.

Hi, I’m Raquel Perez, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I believe healing begins with feeling truly seen and safe. I specialize in working with individuals and couples navigating depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and sex therapy, always honoring the deeper wisdom within each person. It’s a sacred privilege to hold space for your journey — wherever you are, you don’t have to walk it alone.

I'm Maddie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a doctorate from the University of Southern California and six years in private practice. Before that, I spent nearly two decades working in schools as an educator, counselor, and mental health advocate — so I know the world teens, young adults, and parents are living in. I specialize in anxiety, life transitions, maternal mental health, and family stress, and I use CBT and EMDR to help people actually move forward.

I am board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with specialized expertise in integrative psychiatric care. At Rising Lotus Integrative Psychiatry we combine traditional mental health treatments with holistic and alternative approaches. I offer a comprehensive, individualized approach to mental wellness. I an passionate about providing personalized, compassionate care that addresses the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—ensuring that clients feel supported in every aspect of their mental health journey.

With training in both conventional psychiatric treatments and integrative modalities, I work with patients to create balanced treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapies, mindfulness practices, nutrition counseling, and lifestyle interventions. I am firm believer in the mind-body connection, I will incorporate techniques such as meditation, yoga, acupuncture, hormone balance/restoration, and nutrition adjustments alongside psychiatric medications, tailoring each plan to fit the unique needs and preferences of the individual.

Many of the solutions we seek are already inside of us. They can be hard to find, but it is possible. Using talk therapy and emotional regulation skills, we’ll work together to identify goals and practices that fit with the life you’re eager to live. I will provide compassionate, steady support as you navigate anxiety, depression, family or relationship challenges, recovery from addiction, and the impacts of ADHD.

I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs and always consider cultural and social context. I also collaborate with other therapists to offer educational and support groups several times a year. Using a combination of physical, emotional, and cognitive tools, we’ll work to improve daily functioning, strengthen coping skills, and increase the joy and ease in your life.

I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Regis University, and I work with adults across a variety of life stages and transitions.
