I am board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with specialized expertise in integrative psychiatric care. At Rising Lotus Integrative Psychiatry we combine traditional mental health treatments with holistic and alternative approaches. I offer a comprehensive, individualized approach to mental wellness. I an passionate about providing personalized, compassionate care that addresses the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—ensuring that clients feel supported in every aspect of their mental health journey.

With training in both conventional psychiatric treatments and integrative modalities, I work with patients to create balanced treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapies, mindfulness practices, nutrition counseling, and lifestyle interventions. I am firm believer in the mind-body connection, I will incorporate techniques such as meditation, yoga, acupuncture, hormone balance/restoration, and nutrition adjustments alongside psychiatric medications, tailoring each plan to fit the unique needs and preferences of the individual.

I received my master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology, where my previous career in cancer research led me to a focus on health psychology and psychosocial oncology. In addition to addressing chronic health issues such as cancer, I specialize in life transitions and adjustment difficulties, identity issues, anxiety, depression, challenges related to aging, and the many forms of grief and loss.

Kim Colna, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience providing evidence-based mental health care. She specializes in working with pediatrics and adults supporting clients through a wide range of challenges including anxiety, OCD, ADHD, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, and other mood and thought disorders.

Kim is experienced in providing treatment in a variety of settings to include hospitals, inpatient psychiatry, outpatient, residential, nursing homes, schools, and homes. She is affiliated with CU and the Pediatric Mental Health Institute at Childrens Hospital Colorado where she continues to work on a part-time basis on the Emergency/Consultative service.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with teenagers and older and I believe that the therapeutic relationship is vital to the success of therapy. I have years of experience working with children, teenagers and young adults, focusing on anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. I earned my graduate degree in Social Work at the University of South Carolina and my undergraduate at Iowa State University in Child Adult and Family Studies and Psychology. My background includes years in settings working with at-risk youth, school social work and more recently in person at an equine therapy agency working with teenagers and adults. Hi, I'm Tim and I've been in the counseling field for the past 6 years now, where I have worked in various settings helping individuals parcel out what's going on for them at that given moment. What I have come to learn during these past 6 years is to listen for what might be the underlying factors that are causing disruption or consequences in one's life. My training has allowed me to develop this approach through existential, humanistic, and behavioral psychology models. We have a lot going on and things get enmeshed in our lives.
