Hello! If you are struggling to manage life; your day-to-day activities, your relationships, the needs of your family or work (or all!), I am here to support and guide you. Life can often feel overwhelming as so many of us strive to keep juggling an ever-growing list of things to do. The world moves fast, and we don't always take the time and space we need to care for ourselves. As a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) with over 16 years of experience, I have worked with adults, families and children with a very wide range of concerns from mild to severe; for example, anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders are some of the issues I treat. I utilize a number of different therapeutic approaches to address the needs of clients. What is most important to me is to set a safe, calm therapeutic space to begin those first steps towards a life of peace and fulfillment. I'm easy to talk with, which is important when we're talking about tough things. I received my master's degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania, with a mission to make a difference in people's lives and I continue to let that mission guide my work with clients. Reach out to me to schedule an appointment and we'll get started on moving your life in a positive direction.

Deciding on a therapist can be a daunting experience; I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience. I provide psychotherapy services via video and phone sessions. I have always known there was a need for high-quality mental health providers. Therefore, I focus my clinical practice on providing high-quality services and evidence-based interventions to my clients. I have treated many clients with a variety of diagnoses including: addiction, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, PTSD and attention deficit disorder.

I have a strong passion to help people, and truly believe in each individual’s strengths and abilities. Some of the treatment modalities used are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a Strengths-Based approach in an unbiased and non judgmental manner. Thus allowing me to create the holding space my clients need.

I have realized that when we understand our strengths and have developed them we are able to improve and or have a better quality of life. Sometimes we do not understand that a crisis can affect many different areas in our life and recognizing and acknowledging it is the first step in our journey to healing.

Find the right therapist for you

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in District of Columbia

Finding the right therapist in Washington, D.C. starts with getting clear on what you need. Whether you're looking for support with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or a life transition, choosing a licensed provider who specializes in your area of concern can make a meaningful difference. Common credentials to look for include LICSW, LPC, LMFT, and psychologist — and on Headway, you can read detailed provider bios to understand each therapist's approach before you book.

D.C. has a large concentration of mental health providers, which can make the search feel overwhelming. Narrowing your options by practical factors — like whether a provider offers virtual sessions, is located near your neighborhood, or has availability that fits your schedule — can help you build a shortlist faster. Many providers on Headway also offer a free phone consultation, so you can get a sense of fit before committing to a first session.

Therapy in Washington, D.C. can be expensive, with session rates often higher than the national average. Using your in-network insurance benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay out of pocket. On Headway, you can enter your insurance information to see estimated session costs before you book — and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a therapist who fits both your needs and your budget.
