I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, and I strive to create a space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace.
I understand that reaching out for help can feel vulnerable, and I value the trust my clients place in me. I work to meet each person where they are while helping them build insight, coping skills, resilience, and confidence. I believe in balancing empathy and validation with practical tools and strategies that support meaningful and lasting change.
Clients often describe me as compassionate, approachable, calming, and easy to talk to. I utilize evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, while tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs and goals.
I have been in the mental health field for over 10 years and have been counseling for four years. I became a counselor because I genuinely care about what happens to others and I want to help them through tough times. I have a passion for working with the LGBT+, ENM/Polyamorous, minority, and Kink communities. I am proficient in helping with issues related to trauma. I especially love to help empower the oppressed and the people who are made to feel "less than."
Hello there!
My name is Marisa and I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 6 years of experience providing mental health services to individuals from widely diverse backgrounds, with varying symptoms and diagnoses. Throughout the past couple of years, I have been predominately working with women (adults and teens) who experience anxiety, trauma/PTSD, mood disorders, and interpersonal and intrapersonal challenges. While many of the clients I support have experienced trauma, particularly in some form of abuse, I am equipped to work with clients with a wide range of additional concerns, as well.
Feeling anxious, depressed, unfocused, or having difficulty sleeping? You are not alone. I work with adolescents (14+) and adults of all ages. I primarily support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and insomnia, along with other challenges that can make everyday life feel overwhelming. Patients often describe me as calm, understanding, and easy to talk to, and my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and truly heard. I provide personalized psychiatric care, including medication management and practical strategies to help you regain focus, balance, and a sense of control.

I’m Alan Romano, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I believe that many of the struggles we experience are understandable responses to life experiences rather than signs that something is inherently wrong with us.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and later completed training in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness-based practices, psychodynamic principles, and attachment theory. Rather than following a single model, I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs, experiences, and goals.
In therapy, we'll work together to understand not only what is happening in your life today, but also how your experiences, relationships, and nervous system have shaped the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My goal is to help you build insight, strengthen resilience, and develop practical skills that support meaningful, lasting change.
Whether you're navigating trauma, addiction, grief, burnout, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, I strive to provide a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported throughout the healing process.

I believe that meaningful change begins with a single conversation. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, self-esteem concerns, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and practical guidance.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am passionate about helping individuals recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and move toward the life they envision. I believe therapy is not about having all the answers—it’s about having someone who will listen, challenge you when appropriate, support your growth, and celebrate your progress.
Every session is an opportunity to take another step toward healing. You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward greater confidence, balance, and emotional well-being.
