I published my first book in 2024 about the positive potential connection between nerd culture and mental health. Hi, I'm Sara Buchanan, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida, and the owner of SSB Counseling Services, based in Jacksonville, Florida. I earned my Master of Science degree in 2023 at the University of North Florida in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I received Dialectical Behavioral Therapy informed training during her practicum and internship. I also specialize in treating eating disorders and body image concerns.

In February of 2020, I attended the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Bootcamp. I had further training in ACT and DBT in 2021.
