I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and clinical experience in both civilian and military settings. Over the years, I’ve supported individuals facing trauma, anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and identity concerns.
I’ve worked as a therapist in outpatient settings, private practice, and as a behavioral health provider within the Missouri Army National Guard. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, EMDR-informed approaches, CBT, and strengths-based therapy.
I support clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, relationship strain, and transitions. I take pride in creating a grounded, non-judgmental environment where you can explore what you’re facing and develop strong, sustainable coping skills.
I have been working as a clinician and an administrator for over 25 years. After gaining a Master's of Social Work, I worked in community mental health centers in Northern Arizona, Chicago, Missouri and Kansas. I have held roles as a case manager, therapist, clinical supervisor and an administrator overseeing operations of a community mental health center. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work at organizations across the country that focus on helping clients achieve wellness and balance in their lives. As a clinician, I am dedicated to providing personalized care to clients, and helping clients move towards wellness through the use of CBT, EMDR and other evidence based practices.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you.
I began my career in community mental health in 2010. I completed my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Evangel University. Prior to becoming a therapist I worked as a nurse for 13 years. This background leads me to take a holistic, whole-person approach to my practice. I work with children, adolescents, and adults and have specialized in treatment of trauma, ADHD, and child-parent conflicts.
Hi, I'm Jessica — and I'm really glad you found your way here.
I've been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2012, and in that time I've had the honor of sitting with people through some of their hardest seasons — anxiety, depression, PTSD, and everything life piles on in between. This work never gets old to me, because every person who walks in brings a story I've never heard before.
One thing I believe deeply: you already know yourself better than anyone. My job isn't to hand you a roadmap — it's to help you trust the one you already carry. I'll follow your lead, meet you where you are, and help you move in the direction you actually want to go.

Headway helps you stay on track with expert-guided support for ADHD — from finding the right therapist or psychiatrist, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right ADHD therapist or psychiatrist in Kansas City starts with understanding the type of care you need. Therapists who specialize in ADHD often use approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or behavioral therapy to help with focus, time management, and emotional regulation. If you're looking for medication management, a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner can evaluate your symptoms and prescribe medication. Many people benefit from working with both a therapist and a prescriber.
The Kansas City metro area spans both Missouri and Kansas, which means provider availability and insurance networks can vary depending on which side of the state line you're on. When searching for a provider, consider what matters most to you — whether that's someone who works with adults, specializes in a specific therapy approach, or offers virtual appointments. Reading a provider's bio can help you understand their style and experience before you reach out.
ADHD care in Kansas City can be costly without insurance, but using your in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay per session. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated costs upfront, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a provider who specializes in ADHD and is covered by your plan.
