Hi, I'm Elizabeth. Many of my clients experienced talk therapy in the past and felt that something was still missing. If this sounds like you, I invite you to try a different type of therapy. I specialize in working with: “Things look great on the outside but I feel like a mess on the inside,” Struggling self-worth, low confidence, chronic shame, self-criticism, and "What is my purpose?" My desire is to help you return to your natural state of aliveness, presence, and inner clarity. The details are on my website (there's a link on this page) but the short of it is- I can support you at the heart of things effectively and efficiently.
I became an LCSW after starting my career as a community-based social worker, supporting individuals and families navigating complex, real-life challenges. That work taught me the value of showing up with presence, respect, and a deep understanding of the systems that impact people’s lives.
My path to becoming a therapist was also shaped by my own experiences with healing and growth. I know what it’s like to do the inner work—to sit with discomfort, learn new tools, and slowly build something stronger from within. That personal insight informs how I show up in the therapy room: with empathy, curiosity, and compassion.
Motherhood has further deepened my approach. It’s taught me about vulnerability, patience, and the ongoing process of becoming—qualities I carry into my work with clients. I believe healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in safe, supportive relationships, and I’m honored to offer that space to others.
This is a telehealth practice. As a personal choice, the use of narcotics or other controlled (DEA) meds are minimal, if any. I've been a psych nurse practitioner for at least 14yrs. I believe in managing conditions with psychiatric and non-psychiatric treatment modalities that are evidence based. The use of the least amount of meds, at lower doses that does the healing of symptoms, is an active process involving the client and based on the reported experiences. Safety is the core of my practice and my job is to help clients understand internal signals and how to prevent another crisis.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 14 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Over time my work has become increasingly focused on helping clients build healthier relationships with themselves and others. I have a deep conviction that emotional wellbeing is closely connected to how we relate to ourselves and the people around us. My practice is centered on providing a space where clients feel truly seen, supported, and equipped to show up more fully for themselves and those they love. I also welcome clients who want to explore faith as part of their journey.
Loving someone who struggles with addiction can quietly take over your whole life. You worry constantly, you smooth things over, you set a boundary and then talk yourself right out of it, and somewhere along the way you lose track of your own needs. If that's you, I understand it in a way that goes beyond training. Alongside my years as a counselor, I've spent more than two decades in the Al-Anon community, and I work with adults who are worn down from caring for, worrying about, or trying to fix someone they love. You don't have to keep carrying it alone.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Searching for therapists in Jackson starts with finding someone whose training matches what you want support with. People often look for therapy for anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, trauma, or major life transitions. As you compare therapists, look for listed specialties, therapy approaches, and experience with concerns like yours. Some profiles may mention approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or acceptance and commitment therapy, which can help you understand how a therapist may structure care.
In a smaller city like Jackson, local in-person openings may vary by schedule, office location, and specialty. Virtual therapy can expand your options across Tennessee while still connecting you with a therapist licensed to provide care in the state. As you narrow your search, consider appointment availability, whether the therapist is accepting new patients, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading therapist bios before booking can also help you compare communication style, areas of focus, and what to expect in a first session.
Therapy in Jackson can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and make ongoing care easier to plan for. Headway helps you search for therapists who take insurance, see estimated out-of-pocket costs before booking, and choose between virtual and in-person appointments when available. You can browse therapists, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
