My background is both clinical and academic. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, along with graduate degrees in Philosophy and Sociology, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communications. I’m also a doctoral candidate in Educational Psychology. This combination allows me to look at your concerns through emotional, relational, and systemic lenses—not just symptom-focused ones.

I specialize in trauma work, relationship therapy, and working with preteens and teens—who are often misunderstood but incredibly important to support early. I’ve trained in EMDR, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), CBT, Art Therapy, and Conflict & Dispute Resolution. Above all, I value creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely supported.

I am a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I've worked in different practice settings, including private practice, community mental health, homeless and correctional services, and addiction. I treat and manage a range of disorders ( depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD, addictions, etc).

I believe that therapy should be tailored to each client individually as it is not a “one size fits all" solution. Whether or not you have a “diagnosis”, therapy is incredibly important and is a space where you get to talk about your everyday stressors or your major traumas. It’s up to you. I am dual licensed in Texas and New York.

I have a BA in sociology from The Ohio State University and a MA in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University.
