I truly desire to my clients succeed in the counseling process.
When life feels overwhelming, it's easy to get caught in a cycle of anxious thoughts, emotional exhaustion, or self doubt that makes it hard to enjoy the things that once brought you joy. Anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, or difficult life experiences can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or constantly waiting for things to get better. You don't have to navigate that journey alone. I partner with individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, and OCD so they can find greater emotional balance, regain confidence in themselves, and build a life that feels calmer, healthier, and more fulfilling. Working with adolescents and adults, I strive to create a supportive, judgment free space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered to make lasting change.
I am Julie. I am down to earth and relatable. I value working as a team to make my client feel seen and heard. I value helping the client to have break throughs that help them to make connections that will help them to get better and have more peace, freedom, healing, and understanding about how to have a happier life.
I am Janet P. Stoudenmire-Smith, owner of Alabama Wellness and Recovery Services and a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S). Hello, and welcome.
My name is Lisa Holmes, MS, LPC, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have extensive experience working with survivors of trauma, including Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Military Sexual Assault (MST).
I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can process difficult experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and move toward healing and personal growth. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, recognizing that every person’s journey is unique.
Whether you are struggling with the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, or simply seeking greater emotional wellness, I am committed to helping you build resilience, restore hope, and achieve your goals.
I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients on their path toward healing and empowerment.
I specialize in supporting adults as they navigate identity, relationships, and life transitions, as well as children, teens, families, and adults dealing with stress, anxiety, emotional challenges, substance use concerns, and life changes.
My approach is culturally responsive, affirming, and warm, and I tailor treatment to meet each person where they are. I also incorporate clients’ faith and spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic process when desired, as part of a holistic approach to care.
Thank you for taking a moment to view my profile. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I serve the adult and geriatric population. I am a proud graduate of both the University of Georgia Graduate School and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Hi, and welcome — I'm really glad you're here. I've been a licensed therapist for 8 years, and in that time I've sat with people through just about every kind of hard season: anxiety that won't let up, depression that makes everything feel heavy, the pull of substance use, anger that's costing you relationships, or a life transition that's left you unsure of who you are right now. Wherever you're starting from, you don't have to sort it out alone.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, anger management, relationship struggles, and the specific pressures that come with men's and women's issues. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Troy University, and what grounds my work is a simple belief: change is possible for anyone willing to be honest with themselves — and I'll be right there alongside you for it.
I am Dr. Robinette Muse, licensed professional counselor with a practice in Newnan,Georgia. I have practiced for twenty seven years and have been in the behavioral health field 40 years. My primary specialty is trauma and grief counseling and I treat ages four to ninety.
I have practiced in the community and in clinic settings, private and public mental health. My focus with my clients is to help them heal and thrive.
Personally I spend my non work time gardening and learning naturopathic healing. I am a proud mother of one son and a new daughter-in-love.
Clients should know that I am deeply committed to creating a space where honesty, healing, and emotional safety can exist without judgment. I understand that coming to therapy often requires courage, especially when life feels overwhelming, complicated, or uncertain. My approach is grounded in respect, authenticity, and clinical integrity. I value the therapeutic relationship and believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel seen, heard, and understood - not rushed, dismissed, or judged.
I bring both professional expertise and real-world understanding into my work. Due to having worked in a forensic psychiatric setting for over 16 years, I have experience working with complex emotional, behavioral, and trauma-related challenges. I approach each client with the belief that behavior is often a response to pain, and healing begins when we understand the story behind the behavior.
Clients should also know that I am direct, compassionate, and intentional in my work. I will support you, but I will also gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My goal is not just to help you cope, but to help you grow, heal, and move toward a more grounded and peaceful version of yourself. I deeply respect each client’s pace and process. You are not expected to have everything figured out when you arrive. Therapy is a space for exploration, reflection, and growth.
Above all, I believe that healing is possible, change is achievable, and no one is too far gone to begin again.
