Hi, I’m Amaris, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes healing happens best in a space where you feel safe, understood, and never judged.
I work with children, teens, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, emotional overwhelm, grief, and major life transitions. Whether your child is having big feelings they don’t know how to manage, you’re feeling stuck in patterns that don’t serve you, or your family is walking through the heartbreak of dementia or loss, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
My style is supportive, down-to-earth, and collaborative. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you understand yourself, build practical tools, and feel more confident handling life’s challenges. I blend evidence-based approaches with compassion, creativity, and sometimes even humor, because growth doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time.
Parents appreciate that I help kids build emotional regulation skills in ways that make sense to them, and I make sure caregivers feel supported too. Adults often come to me when anxiety, emotional ups and downs, or grief feel overwhelming. I also have a special place in my heart for working with older adults and families facing Alzheimer’s, dementia, and end-of-life changes.
At the core of my work is this belief:
You are not broken, you’re human, and you’re capable of growth.
If you’re ready for a space where you can show up exactly as you are, we’ll work at your pace, together.
You and I, together, will develop a therapeutic relationship ideal for producing change and growth. Rooted in trust, honesty, and transparency, my goal is to create a safe space for you to think & feel out loud! Self-exploration here will garner solutions to your concerns. We'll ensure you gain a better understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Emphasis on SELF~LOVE simply loving yourself unconditionally 1st, 2nd, and 3rd allows for a greater capacity to attract MANIFEST and receive the greatest REMEDY “LEARNING TO LOVE ONE’S SELF”
YOU MUST LOVE YOURSELF more patiently COMPASSIONATELY graciously SINCERELY and honestly with FORGIVENESS
Determined COMMITMENT to being ABSOLUTELY HONESTY with OURSELVES & ULTIMATELY SURRENDERING TO OUR HEART’S PURPOSE WILL IGNITE the GREATEST and most PHENOMENAL expression “THE PERFECTING OF SELF LOVE”
Life can feel heavy sometimes—uncertain, overwhelming, and out of balance in ways that are hard to put into words. If you’ve been carrying a lot on your own, it makes sense that reaching out for support might feel difficult, even vulnerable. I want you to know that those feelings are understood, and you are not alone in them.
You don’t have to figure everything out by yourself. I’m here to gently walk alongside you as you begin to take those first steps—at your pace, in your way. Whether you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or simply tired, this can be a space where you’re allowed to just be, without pressure or judgment.
I approach therapy with warmth, care, and deep respect for your unique story. Together, we’ll create a space where you can feel safe enough to express yourself openly, explore what’s been weighing on your heart, and begin to reconnect with yourself and the relationships that matter most to you.
With extensive experience working with adults, I tailor each session to your needs, honoring where you are while gently supporting where you want to go. Healing doesn’t have to happen all at once—and you don’t have to do it alone.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience working with adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, and stress.
I specialize in helping people who feel stuck at a crossroads—whether due to career changes, relationship shifts, or unexpected challenges. Many of my clients come to therapy looking for clarity, better coping skills, and a way to move forward with confidence.
My approach is direct, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and strengths-based approaches. We focus on understanding patterns, building insight, and developing practical tools that create real change.
I primarily work with adults, with a focus on those navigating major life transitions and redefining what’s next.
Therapy doesn’t have to last forever. It’s a space to gain clarity, make intentional changes, and move forward at your own pace.
I am dedicated to helping teens struggling with trauma and self-harm behavior. My experience working with Orange Unified School District, running groups from grade 6-12 for students struggling with emotional and behavioral problems has given me unique insight into not only helping teens, but also working with the families, schools, and community to provide more effective treatment. I have partnered with Western Youth Services in helping at risk teens and low income families in helping adolescents to overcome academic barriers and families cope with serious defiance and drug use.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Searching for therapists in Huntington Beach starts with knowing what kind of support you want. Therapists can help with concerns like anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, stress, and life transitions. As you compare options, look for a therapist whose listed specialties, training, and approach match your needs. A bio that mentions cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, couples counseling, or family therapy can help you understand how that therapist may work with you.
In a mid-sized coastal city like Huntington Beach, your best fit may be nearby, in another part of Orange County, or available virtually. Some people prefer in-person sessions close to home, work, or school, while others choose virtual appointments for more scheduling flexibility. As you narrow your search, check whether a therapist is accepting new patients, offers appointment times that fit your calendar, and provides a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before you book can also show how a therapist describes their style, session structure, and experience with concerns like couples counseling, marriage counseling, or family therapy.
Therapy in Huntington Beach can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you search for therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, see estimated out-of-pocket costs, review detailed bios, and book directly when you are ready.
