I'm Rebecca Colas, a bilingual (English/Haitian Creole) LCSW based in FL. Also, providing telehealth services to clients residing in VA. In my profession I have had the honor of supporting individuals across the lifespan. I help individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, stress, and major life transitions and yes, sometimes we even laugh along the way. No matter what you’re carrying, my priority is to meet you exactly where you are and create a space where you feel genuinely supported.

I have over a decade of experience as a licensed mental health counselor and consider myself a lifelong learner. As a therapist who has been in therapy, I have seen the benefits in my personal and professional life.

I received my bachelor’s of arts degree in psychology from West Chester University and my Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gannon University.

Clients often describe me as someone who is "easy to talk to", has a great sense of humor, and is down to earth. After 26 years as a full time therapist, I bring a blend of compassion, experience, and wisdom. I welcome the opportunity to meet and hear your story.

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a background in psychology, nursing, and addiction counseling. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and life stressors.

My approach is compassionate, non-judgmental, and tailored to each individual. I believe mental health care should feel safe, supportive, and empowering—not intimidating. I take the time to truly listen and understand your concerns so we can create a plan that works for you.

As both a clinician and educator, I stay up to date with evidence-based practices to provide high-quality, personalized care. Whether you’re new to mental health treatment or continuing your journey, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

I work with adults who are tired of surviving everything alone. A lot of the people I support are used to being “the strong one” — carrying anxiety, emotional overwhelm, difficult relationships, self-doubt, burnout, or years of unspoken pressure while still showing up for everyone else.

As a Black woman, I understand how life experiences, identity, culture, and the spaces we move through can shape the way we see ourselves and navigate the world. Therapy with me is not about judging or “fixing” you — it’s about creating space for you to breathe, unpack what’s been weighing on you, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels honest, grounded, and real.
